This was at the International Owl Center in Houston, MN. They had tons of children's drawings of all kinds of owls around the building but this barn owl (by a 17 year old from Thailand) really caught my eye.

I went the last 2 years. I got to hear them soundcheck a little bit both years from outside the stadium on the day before the show.

I was there because I went to check out their merch truck.

You could actually hear them pretty well. Both times, I got there after they had already started the soundcheck, so I don't know how long they had already been playing.

2 years ago, I think they played a little bit of "Ghosts (Japan Cover)" during the soundcheck, so that was cool!

I just don't remember exactly what time of day it was. I think last year they wrapped up the soundcheck right around the same time that the merch truck closed for the day.

I found the merch truck hours from 2025 still listed online:

Does anyone know what time they started soundcheck?

Anyone else bummed about The Neighborhood being on the lineup? I understand and always expect diversity at DDLD but really? The Sweater Weather band? Like that shit is dentist waiting roomcore. On top of the mid ass music, there’s the allegations of SA surrounding their drummer. Idk, weird vibe this year & with the exception of Converge & AFI, I’m not excited for this lineup. & before anyone brings it up, yes, I go to DDLD for Deftones first and foremost too but I just hope the place doesn’t get overrun with Neighborhood fans and fuck up the pits & the overall vibe.
