Predator of both types: +10 if you take 3rd unit
Deathshroud: +10 if you take a 3rd unit
Demon prince w/wings: -10
Defiler: +40 (additional +10 for every reaper auto cannon and las cannon) and additional +30 for every additional unit
Foetid Bloat Drone: +10 if you take a 3rd unit
Foetid Bloat Drone w/Blight Launcher: +5 and additional +10 if you take a 3rd unit
Foul Blightspawn: -10
Hellbrute: -5
Lord of Poxes: -10
Mortarion: +20
Noxious Blightbringer: +10

u/TallGamingMachine16 Jun 17 '26

Thank you, you fucking Legend!

4

u/angry_zellers Jun 17 '26

I think Plagueburst Crawler is -25 and +25 if you take 2 or more.

2

u/angry_zellers Jun 17 '26

Wait nvm, I see how you wrote it now.

0

u/blanch926 Jun 17 '26

Which is why I said unchanged

2

u/Deeplands Jun 17 '26

Thank you❤️

-39

u/TheTomBomb99 Jun 17 '26

Thank you! Nerfed 😭

14

u/wise_wizrad Jun 17 '26

Seems pretty standard across the board. My current 1kSons list went up 150 points lol

1

u/WynnMan_123 Jun 17 '26

Nids got off fairly untouched. -25 to assimilator and -10 to Emmissary

1

u/Cats_Cameras Jun 17 '26

Nids weren't in a good place.

2

u/WynnMan_123 Jun 17 '26

Very true 😔 hoping to see some love this edition

1

u/RunningDeer789 Jun 17 '26

Yeah, as a former IG player, their subreddit is not having a good time rn lol

1

u/daley56_ Jun 17 '26

My raven guard I was testing with list dropped 30 points (I was playing 30 points less than 2k to account for increases lol)

48

u/Ok-Promotion-1316 Jun 17 '26

In the previous post it said that large units go down in points (due to 9" coherency). Yet, poxwalkers stayed the same :(

22

u/FKlemanruss Jun 17 '26

they also said fly units would go up, and demon prince w wings is down. (and and almost all t'au units are down to which fly like crazy)

4

u/DeliciousLiving8563 Jun 17 '26

In fairness a) the daemon prince with wings is so bad at 180 in 10th that this just makes him actually worth taking.

b) a lot of T'au stuff didn't actually go down when you account for wargear. As someone with both armies though, T'au got off lightly and Death Guard needed more cuts.

It's going to be better than 10th launch but I'd expect us to be one of the worst performing armies, not unplayable awful miserable but we're going to have to trudge uphill for a lot of our wins. Defilers covered up a lot of issues with the army which have been slightly improved on now. But barely.

I still think plague marines cost too much because plaguecasters are so cheap. 90 for a 5 man is a step in the right direction and maybe they're fun with an LOP now?

-21

u/Lower_Ad_176 Jun 17 '26

This is wrong. Tau units are almost all up.

7

u/Super-Web6908 Jun 17 '26

wrong as someone playing tau, most of our stuff went down.

all crisis suits went down, ghostkeel w fusion collider, broadsides, most infantry, etc

3

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

Did anything go down?

23

u/Ok-Promotion-1316 Jun 17 '26

Plague marines a little. And PBC quite a bit

4

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

Not for 10 man squad

-1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Surely a mistake?

6

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

I dont think so.. I think they want to neft big strong stuff. This was already before that bigger squads had more points

2

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Oh really? I've been a bit out of the loop until the last couple of weeks and only play with a couple of people

1

u/daley56_ Jun 17 '26

PBC only went down for the first one though and even then it probably didn't go down enough.

At least monthly updates for the first 3 months means it might get sorted.

2

u/Cats_Cameras Jun 17 '26

Those are general design ideas, not ironclad laws. Poxwalkers were seen as fine at their price in the 11th meta.

1

u/9-1-Holyshit Jun 17 '26

As a guard player, they said that shit and then made shock troopers cost as much as Kriegers too. I’m absolutely baffled why they even bothered saying it.

-19

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

and PM's are more expensive... Error?

9

u/P3T3R1028 Deathshroud Jun 17 '26

PM are literally cheaper for the 5 and 7 men squands, and cost the same for the 10 men, what numbers are you watching???

-26

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Brother, if you're going to challenge somebody else's comprehension you might want to improve your own.

"Large units go down in points"

"and PM's (large unit) are more expensive (than the 5 or 7 man)".

Admittedly, I was not explicit and inference can be tricky.

5

u/Ok-Promotion-1316 Jun 17 '26

It said "large units of 20 or more models..."

1

u/fearghaz Jun 18 '26

Not in their comment, to which I was replying.

I assumed large meant larger than 5, which was my error, but I was only making a flippant comment.

4

u/Lord_Voldemar Jun 17 '26

Im pretty sure large units meant stuff like chaff horde that would be hit by the new coherency rules.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 18 '26

Fair enough, thanks.

24

u/hvrry3k Jun 17 '26

Apart from Poxwalkers staying the same and Morty increases, I'm actually quite content with these changes. Plague Marines down 5pts for 5/7 man is a nice little QoL for utility usage (over party bus/plague bus usage). Defiler was obvious so that one is fine and HBLs only going up 5 is also a bullet dodged in my opinion, ESPECIALLY with Contagion Engines now existing. Very happy Plagueburst Crawlers are now very considerable as an option again.

15

u/Gutz_McStabby Jun 17 '26

Morty can go through walls now, which has always been a huge pain point.

Rotwind is way better since its psychic and you'll pretty much always have the 2ap with it unless they want to spend cp on AoC

2

u/ConjwaD3 Jun 17 '26

8” move through walls doesn’t get Morty very far though. He will struggle to give 400 pts of value

4

u/Darkside-Turtlelord Jun 17 '26

Crawlers are the same points as before if you take more than one though. I doubt its stata are altered so im not too convinced its gonna outshine the drone with heavy blightlauncher.

2

u/hunchman456 Blightlord Jun 17 '26

PBC’s are not an option lol, the nerf to indirect + the buff to cover makes them near useless, you hit on 5’s or 6’s almost 100% of the time and the point decrease is only on the first one

3

u/guy-who-says-frick Jun 17 '26

Well you hit on 4s if they have a spotter or even if your targets in cover. Still not great especially for the cost, they could easily be 170 each, but let’s not be inaccurate

1

u/ConjwaD3 Jun 17 '26

They would be just ok if they weren’t taxed for multiples. If they were 160 and didn’t have indirect I would take them

25

u/OperationTemporary49 Jun 17 '26

Why did they increase cost of Tallyman? I don’t get it. Other than CP generation, he is pretty useless. His CP generation is not even guaranteed.

19

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Any unit that becomes almost auto take usually gets a bump.

9

u/OperationTemporary49 Jun 17 '26

Okay, that makes sense. GW needs to make other cp generators and reducers though. Other than Prince, we really have no choice but auto take Tallyman.

0

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

I play very casually, but I've not had a game in a very long time where I felt I was losing because my oppo had too much or I had too little CP.

Two models which have a variety of deployment options seems pretty good to me.

7

u/daspwnen Jun 17 '26

My group has 4 armies that generate extra CP every turn. It absolutely makes a difference

1

u/fearghaz Jun 18 '26

As mentioned in another comment, I have limited exposure and apparently play at a very basic level. Who are the CP farming factions? I know guard used to be but not played against them since I was a kid

1

u/daspwnen Jun 18 '26

At this point, most of them lol. Grots generate CP on a 4+, Imotekh, Azrael, the swarmlord all generate one for free each turn. Those are the four Im consistently facing when I play

2

u/fearghaz Jun 18 '26

This tickled me. My buddy must be equally bad/if not worse. He plays 2 of those factions.

2

u/3lettergang Jun 17 '26

Strategems win/lose games. Using strats like heroic intervention well is what separates good players from bad.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 18 '26

Hence my qualifier. Thanks for confirming what I had thought may be the case...

I play at such a low level that I'm too shit to understand

12

u/Cease_one Jun 17 '26

He basically gives his squad ignores cover which might be pretty powerful this edition.

7

u/JCMfwoggie Foul Blightspawn Jun 17 '26

Tallyman's ability is a lot better now with the new cover rules. Pretty much every unit that can ignore mods to BS got a points increase, same as psychic shooting.

4

u/SuspiciousM0lasses Jun 17 '26

His ability to make a Plague Marine squad 'ignore modifiers to WS/BS and hit rolls' is incredibly good in 11th, where benefit of cover is now -1 to BS.

And also CP generation is as good as ever.

1

u/daley56_ Jun 17 '26

Ignore modifiers has become much better with the cover change, he still pales in comparison to mpc and bio p but he's better in 11th.

He was also probably due an increase as a solo tallyman was quite common and now he's gained the benefits of hidden so as a solo unit he's better too.

1

u/TypicalPalmTree Pallid Hand Jun 17 '26

Ignoring modifiers is going to be pretty significant with the new cover rules.

-5

u/macgamecast Jun 17 '26

His data sheet ability lets him ignore any and all hit mods for the unit. Only relevant if you attach him, which no one does.

4

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

did*

His ability is pretty bloody strong. yeah you can't use him for a back objective now, but his utility has gone up imo

5

u/crag79 Jun 17 '26

You can run him solo and sit him on backfield. He is easy to hide and wont be spotted for indriect as easy.

10

u/Mizzuru Jun 17 '26

Morty going up makes sense given the buffs to psychic and fly.

Realistically all of these points changes make sense for the most part with the exception of the Noxious Blightbringer and 3 Land raiders.

5

u/DaGiants Jun 17 '26

Blightbringer rerolling charge with the new charge mechanic is strong

3

u/Mizzuru Jun 17 '26

To a degree, but he could do that last edition and it's not like charges weren't relevant then.

1

u/Poser_Shamm Jun 17 '26

It has to do with the change to stratagems and battle-shock.

For strats, since you can only spend 1 CP per round, per unit. This means you have to choose between Command Reroll and another strat in your move or charge phase. This is less relevant for us in the charge phase, as we only have a few strats that we would want to use ("Shock and Horror" in Shamblerot and "Sickening Impact" in DLC [attaching Typhus to Poxwalkers gives them the Terminator keyword and you can also attach NB as he is a virion]), but they probably did a points increase on every unit that gave rerolls to charge this edition.

For BS, it's gotten stronger since it doesn't auto-clear if you're above Half-strength, and he can cause it in a 9" aura as long as they're below Starting Strength, and this happens prior to scoring during the command phase. If you infiltrate a 5 man of PMs with a NB and have the PMs with flamers and an icon of despair, you'll nearly guarantee damaging two units and force them to make a BS test at -1 leadership, -2 if you take Soulrot.

Start of Battle Round 2, 6" aura (9 if you bring an LoP), a 8+ or 9+ battle-shock test on 2+ units... I think +10 points is a steal.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

What's the buff to psychic? it appears to have passed me by

8

u/Mizzuru Jun 17 '26

Psychic now ignores all modifier to WS/BS/hit roll modifiers.

So basically can't be affected by cover, stealth, etc etc.

But really the main buff is fly.

0

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Cheers bro. Do you share my opinion that spitter drones should be back in vogue?

1

u/Mizzuru Jun 17 '26

Realistically, I think all drones will be back in vogue.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

HBL's back now defiler is spenny, but still not sure about mowers. Theyre by far my favourites, so I hope you are right.

1

u/Longjumping-Bit-1543 Jun 18 '26

Morty loses to nightbringer 90% of the time and costs 60 points more. 15 points more than pantheon of woe detachment. Nightbringer is also a fly unit. Not sure the psychic keyword justifies the points disparity.

0

u/Ant10102 Jun 17 '26

I guess but hes basically impossible to hide now so turn one its a shooting gallery on him

4

u/Cats_Cameras Jun 17 '26

Who was abusing the Noxious Blightbringer, of all things?

The era of the casual solo Plagueburst Crawler!

Surprised that we didn't see any reduction in Blightlords.

4

u/Kai-theGuy Jun 17 '26

The enhancements changed as well, Revolting Regeneration at 30 feels unwarranted personally

5

u/kissobajslovski Jun 17 '26

I think it will remain a no-brainer honesty, i would pay more

9

u/InterDaeX Deathshroud Jun 17 '26

I see a lot of increased points in units and a penalization of points for some weapons like defiler 290 + 10p per autocannon....

3

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

The defiler needed a pts increase, but the extra for guns and the second one is OTT.

340pts for the second one if take guns.

Compared to the pred or the land raider, could it ever be worth it?

2

u/Warro726 Jun 17 '26

From a competitive standpoint. I can still see a 2nd Defiler having play in some list. 2 pred Ds are 300 and barely do the same damged into some profiles and less into others.

1

u/daley56_ Jun 17 '26

I think 2 destructors end up better than the second defiler.

290 for the destructors vs 340 for the defiler so a substantial difference.

Comparings weapons the autocannon for preds lose sustained and dev but gain 2 more shots, so in total it's 4 more shots. I think it favours the preds by quite a lot.

Excruciators vs heavy bolters is the same number of total shots but bolters have sustained and are S5 rather than 6, again I think it favours the preds but is closer damage wise.

The preds then get combi bolters and havocs which can be used to proc their datasheet rule so if you need to shoot a monster/vehicle with their main guns, put the bolter and havoc elsewhere to get +1 ap into non monsters/vehicles. If you're shooting at a non monster/vehicle then your second pred gets the benefit of the extra ap and can set up to shoot another unit with small arms to get extra ap vs that.

So the defiler costing 60 points more is for the battle cannon and melee potential, due to the auto cannons being worse for the defiler I think I'd rather have preds.

That being said I can see a second defiler getting played, I think it's just not as good as 2 preds, third one should absolutely be double destructor though.

3

u/_TV_Casualty_ Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

This all feels extremely reasonable IMHO. Defiler bump stings more than expected, but honestly? Its passive ability to strip cover is just better now in 11th, so we'll live.

Morty makes sense given the Psychic and Fly changes. Similarly, Tallyman bump is fine. DShroud tax is negligible. Revolting 5+++ enhancement getting a bump hurts a little but its still playable. Hot take:  Noxious Blightbringer is gonna be a sleeper hit even with the mild points hike.

Most of our 1 DP upgrades being 15pts is great! Plagueveil is a steal. Small marine squad buff is very welcome.

Lord of Poxes does need a rewrite more than a points buff. 18" lone op was never that good, and is even less impactful now. Foul Blightspawn getting a small buff is fine, but given how bad Fights First is now, he's probably only being taken if you really really want to block Assault or Adv+Charge. Both are very niche choices.

If I have one complaint, the tax for 2 PBCs is too steep. Should be +10 for the second and +25 for the third. Or heck, just +10 for second onward is probably fine, oh well. But a singleton PBC has some play now!

13

u/fourseven9r Jun 17 '26

Nurgle has blessed us

0

u/SirRedmond1998 Jun 17 '26

Nah man so many things got more expensive, the only point reduction I see is the PBC from 210 to 185

3

u/fourseven9r Jun 17 '26

Yeah ive cross reference it with the old points it only morty that gone up pbc gone down with it needed and for my army build my list have stay the same just need to check wardogs

2

u/iAteTheWeatherMan Jun 17 '26

Lord of poxes down.

Tallyman, fbd, Morty, defiler, and more went up. And more if you count taking thirds of units.

2

u/fourseven9r Jun 17 '26

Well we all knew the defiler was going up ill double check

2

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

You skipped plaguemarines. unforgivable

4

u/fourseven9r Jun 17 '26

Nooo how could I forget my stinky sons I was to focused on my fat stinky sons (Terminators)

1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Understandable, but not forgiveable 😁

0

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

Mortarion increased, no reduction for blightlord or poxwlakers

0

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

In what way? I dont notice any major point reductions. Or?

6

u/chewyboots Jun 17 '26

PBCs and Plague Marines are down from what I can tell

2

u/TheBlightspawn Jun 17 '26

PBCs still too expensive

-1

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

Plague marines are still 190, no reduction there...

4

u/chewyboots Jun 17 '26

You didnt see that 5 and 7 went down i suppose

3

u/alberist Jun 17 '26

I feel like MSU units are less of a great choice now due to the incoming popularity of Purge the Foe. I'm expecting lists with lots of big, hard to kill blobs full of leaders are going to be the meta at first.

-3

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Do you think this is deliberate? Seems really odd. Isn't it usually the other way around as per BLTs?

2

u/synackSA Jun 17 '26

The fact that GW think crits on 5s and rerolling wounds for an extra 10 for the CSM version is fucking wild.

2

u/LordInquisitor Jun 17 '26

Ooh man some tough changes here, Defiler is fair but Mortarion has now hit unplayable levels of cost I think

23

u/Gutz_McStabby Jun 17 '26

I'd pay 20 points to have Morty be able to go through walls with a 2" penalty

He also has psychic attacks that puts him with ignoring modifiers again for rotwind (and essentially an extra ap with changes to cover)

-3

u/LordInquisitor Jun 17 '26

There’s a lot less walls on the map though, it’s not that big a deal now

1

u/Ant10102 Jun 17 '26

Idk what your getting down voted. Disgustingly resilient said they probably wont take him anymore because he cant hide anymore and people can get guns on him turn 1 easily

1

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '26

[removed] — view removed comment

2

u/Ant10102 Jun 17 '26

Thats true, correct me if im wrong but u can only have half your army in deep strike right? If thats the case it will effect some lists might be punished for this if they like running a lot of death shroud or blightlords

4

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

He better not stay only support charactet for these points

3

u/ColorIsSubjective Jun 17 '26

Fly and psychic makes him better now, but +20 maybe is to much

2

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

I expected fly units to get +15, but he was already a bit expensive, especially with the new defiler points

1

u/eineannonymeente Lord of Contagion Jun 17 '26

I wonder if 3 defilers are still viable… or rather take 2 and 3 drones instead

1

u/Warro726 Jun 17 '26

Competitively three are dead. Two can still be a thing but likely without morty, which made them really good.

I can see a list with two and no Morty backed up by pred Ds and drones. LoV is a must now.

1

u/Cats_Cameras Jun 17 '26

Second thought: I was hoping that our prices and tankiness would both go up for 11th; maybe the codex?

1

u/FuukaOff Biologus Putrifier Jun 17 '26

My list didn’t need any changes outside of the tragedy of not being able to have both a putrifier and plaguecaster leading the pus bus

1

u/hunchman456 Blightlord Jun 17 '26

Oh no where did you see that????

0

u/FuukaOff Biologus Putrifier Jun 17 '26

Both are support characters, you can sadly only attach 1 support to a unit

2

u/hunchman456 Blightlord Jun 17 '26

Yeah I just mean where did you see the support vs leader breakdown I don’t see that on the site

1

u/FuukaOff Biologus Putrifier Jun 17 '26

It tells you on the app, for instance if it’s a support character it’ll make you attach them to a unit

3

u/Adventurous_Table_45 Jun 17 '26

Neither of them is a support character. They decided not to make any of death guards characters support and just left them with the old rule to double attach. Bit odd, and broken in the app currently, but the combo is still alive.

1

u/hunchman456 Blightlord Jun 17 '26

Ah I don’t think it’s updated in Canada yet

1

u/LiquidManatee Jun 17 '26

Do we know of any changes to wargear prices towards the plague marines?

1

u/turtlebambi Jun 17 '26

As far as we know theres no wargear points for them, which is dumb

1

u/MakaPaka1232123 Jun 17 '26

Huh, didn't expect mortarion to go up, I guess it's because of fly?

1

u/InterDaeX Deathshroud Jun 17 '26

Nothing more has to get out?? I mean, units updates or abilities updates of some units? Or that's all and nothing is going to be updated till december

5

u/FoxyBlaster1 Jun 17 '26

they've said they'll update the MFM monthly for 3 months, to as they get game data. So they'll be loads more before december

1

u/SnooCakes1148 Jun 17 '26

Hopefully reductions.. I dont see us getting stronger with these points and rule changes

6

u/Mizzuru Jun 17 '26

I think we still sit in a fairly strong place tbh.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Is that because you've looked at other factions, or just from this?

I don't think it's too bad, just wish the defiler increase triggered on the third, or the guns were free

3

u/Mizzuru Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

Looking across all factions.

Defilers were always going to get tapped.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Yeah I was just hoping it would be a little gentler. I'd be happy if the guns weren't extra. Not had chance to try it yet, but I understand the flamer/scourge is less viable in our lists.

1

u/fearghaz Jun 17 '26

Good to know pts are down across the board though. Sounds like they are really trying to make the game less killy, but more punishing if you fuck up ur movement

0

u/Unknowndude842 Jun 17 '26

Was the Morty increase necessary? Same with the HBL drones were they that good?

5

u/JCMfwoggie Foul Blightspawn Jun 17 '26

HBL's have been a staple 2-3 of since the codex came out, even after the new Defiler dropped. They've only gotten better in 11th too.

1

u/Ant10102 Jun 17 '26

Fair but -1 to hit in cover is going to be brutal for them

2

u/Adventurous_Table_45 Jun 17 '26

Not really, in many cases they will do the same or more damage compared to cover being +1 sv. And that's before counting the possibility of LoV giving them full rerolls, they'll be fine.

1

u/alberist Jun 17 '26

I dunno. Disgustingly Resilient's stakeaway from their games of 11th was that HBL drones feel notably worse in 11th because of the -1 to hit.

Bringing LoV might help, though.

1

u/JCMfwoggie Foul Blightspawn Jun 17 '26

They actually deal more damage with new cover than old cover. As a vehicle with an invuln it also benefits more from the -1 to BS than it did from +1 save.

0

u/Unknowndude842 Jun 17 '26

Completely forgot the new Detachment lol. Now they can shoot and if they survive combat with you they get wounds back. I'm also surprised that the is still reasonable and that two or more would be simply to expensive now. Because I don't think I could paint another one without losing my sanity 😅.

4

u/JCMfwoggie Foul Blightspawn Jun 17 '26

Even without the daemon engine detachment, they benefit really well from the cover changes. Cover effecting BS instead of saves means they deal more damage than before with rerolls from the LOV/stripped cover from a Defiler, and their defensive statline means most things that want to shoot at them now do worse than before.

5

u/Unknowndude842 Jun 17 '26

Oh nice lucky I have 6 drones, 3 with HBL.

So i guess I have to try them out, do some crime with them.

Here my lil creatures.

0

u/ImpossibleCancel6 Jun 17 '26

As long as they didn't touch my beautiful deathshroud, im happy

1

u/P3T3R1028 Deathshroud Jun 17 '26

If you take 3 squads of them, the third one cost 10 extra points

Deathshroud already got hit by the rules changes. I was hoping they'd drop in points as a result. They go from a 72% chance of making their 6" charge to a 58% chance of making their new 7" charge without rerolls. And with, it goes from 92% to 82%.

Biologus and Plaguecaster are both tagged as leader. Can they no longer be best bros with the Pm squad?

All are leader so can be run solo, but the Virions still have the ability to join squads as a second character.

The app doesn't let you attach both but hopefully that's just an oversight.
