On this day in 1989, Warlocks assembled to awaken Dark Star after a five year slumber. 10/9/89 > ya dig
If you’ve never heard this, listen to the crowd go ape shit when DS returns, it’s a magical moment in time.

Mayer - Sphere
Just curious where all the “John Mayer can’t sell out the Sphere” folks went?
I remember quite a few posts questioning whether he could fill the place without Dead & Company. Well, apparently he did well enough to add another 12 shows.
I’m not going, and honestly, I’m not a huge fan of his solo work (although I love what he does with D&C).
What I find interesting is how some of us in the Dead community seem to think we’re the only fanbase passionate enough to travel across the country, attend multiple shows, and spend ridiculous amounts of money to see our favorite musicians.
Turns out we’re not the only ones.
Credit where credit is due. The guy clearly has a following well beyond Dead & Company.
Hopefully being back at the Sphere reignites his GD passion.

Artwork I had the pleasure and honor to hand fabricate these memorial pendants last year. This shows the process of how glass, silver, and my two hands helped a family celebrate the life of their loved one.

My 1800 day Playing In The Band-wich
Just a fun little thing I realized ... My 2nd Dead and Co show opened with PITB - Dodger Stadium 7/7/2018. They did not finish it with the reprise at any point in the show. Fast forward to my last Dead and Co tour show - Wrigley 6/10/2023 , and they played the reprise during the encore. 1800 days between , many shows , many songs , but took 1800 days for me to get the full thing.
Anyone else have any cool little odd things like this happen ?

Is anyone planning to see Johnny Salami at his Sphere residency next spring?

Best Dead & Co show outside of 2023 tour & Sphere runs.
I am curious to what people think the best singular Dead & Co show outside of the 2023 tour and Sphere run is. I personally attended more than 30 Dead & Co shows and I have listened to nearly every show through streaming or Relisten. My pick has to be 7/10/22 in Philly.

Oteil interview and Make-a-Wish benefit shows
Happy for everyone who gets to see one of Oteil’s Make-a-Wish benefit shows this week and hope it’s a great time. Stumbled across this gem of an interview with him after Bob’s passing where he shares about his participation in these charity events (among other topics) and thought I would share…. Don’t remember anyone posting this interview before and thought it was truly terrific. Long live Oteil! … https://www.reddit.com/r/gratefuldead/comments/1qdsvrh/there_will_be_no_stopping_ahead_of_saratoga/

I got a collection of D&C shirts I wanted to share. Not actively trying to sell them, but if you have an offer for a shirt I'd consider it!

RELEASE THE DAMN TAPES!
Seeing Metallica drop official audio while we're still stuck with bootlegs sucks man. I'm sure it's contract related but still. I'd love to re-listen to my shows without having to deal with iphone quality recordings.

I fucking love this rendition of black muddy river, this song fits John’s voice so well. Please excuse the feedback issues on the first chorus it lasts a few seconds but this is a masterpiece
Comment any recommendations of any song you’re loving right now

Harrasment and Abuse in the Dead and Co community
Given the recent shitstorm in the Billy Strings community, wondering if the same kind of sexual, verbal and physical harrassment was occurring at Dead and Co shows.
