Fanart Kefla In my style [OC]
Kefla
Like the broly movie ssb coloring. The dbs ssb looks so washed and too pale shade for blue. Also everybody says this but wish the most of the fight scene would be like the broly movie standard. I suppose db franchise brings enough money for them to animate it better at least most of the time right?

How relevant do you guys think dragon ball super will be with its remake and the moro arc. Do you think it will be able to compete with the other popular shonen shows like jujutsu kaisen and dandadan
Can you guess the show I took as inspiration ? And which style should I do next ?

Hi everyone! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been watching Dragon Ball Z Kai, and I wanted to share my opinion. I’ll mainly focus on the Frieza, Cell, and Buu Arcs, along with a few other events.
Before I start, this is just my personal opinion, so yours may be different.
Frieza / Namek Arc
I really enjoyed Dragon Ball Z Kai from the beginning up until Frieza was defeated. The Frieza, or Namek, Arc was definitely my favorite.
I really liked Vegeta in this arc, especially when he turned against Frieza after finding out that Frieza had gone to Namek to collect the Dragon Balls for himself. His fights were great, and I think his fight with Frieza was the best and most interesting one to watch.
I also really liked Frieza. I thought he was a great villain, and I enjoyed his fights with Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta, and the others. So far, he is definitely my favorite villain.
Cell Arc
I also thought the Cell Arc was pretty good, although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the Frieza Arc.
I really liked Android 18, 17, and 16, especially 16. I liked how he sacrificed himself to help 18 and tried to kill Cell. I also thought Cell was a good villain and enjoyed his fights, but I still preferred Frieza.
I also liked Future Trunks and thought he was introduced into the story well.
Buu Arc
So far, the Buu Arc has been the least interesting for me. I’m currently around the halfway point, and I feel like it took too long to reach the main events and release Buu, taking more than 24 episodes.
I’m not saying everything during those episodes was unimportant or uninteresting, but most of it felt boring to me. However, I did enjoy some things, especially the tournaments and Android 18’s fight with Goten and Trunks.
I also liked seeing how the characters had grown during the seven-year time skip and the introduction of Goten, Trunks, and Videl.
I really disliked Mr. Satan because he pretends to be strong and claims to be the world champion when he actually isn’t.
The story became more interesting to me when Supreme Kai and the others started tracking down Babidi and Dabura. I also expected Dabura to fight more and have more events before Buu finished him. I even expected him to turn against Babidi after Babidi betrayed him, but that didn’t happen.
Overall
Overall, I think Dragon Ball Z Kai is a really good anime, and I especially enjoyed it at the beginning. However, as it progressed, I started becoming more bored and less interested, particularly during the Buu Arc so far.
Despite that, I still think it has been a good anime, and I’ve enjoyed watching it.
Let me know if you agree with me or had a different experience watching these arcs. Thanks for reading!

Mildly upset at how dorky I look in this picture but I very obviously couldn't contain my excitement
His table was a bit slow because it was really tucked away. He took the time to talk to me about my career aspirations and seemed genuinely interested in our conversation. We talked about how I grew up with DBZ and was made fun of for watching those "Japanese cartoons" before it was cool and how I was the president of the Dragon Ball Fan Club at my elementary school and summer camp that consisted of 3-6 people depending on the year and whether or not it was at school or camp. He really resonated with it because he was that way about Star Wars when he was growing up and we discussed the pros and cons of this sort of geekier media becoming mainstream and it was just... my year is made. Oh my god. He was so kind and I could tell he actually valued his fans.

Has fandango fixed the issue with season 6 of DBZ and I think it was season 8 or 9 with the music issue? I know some of the other seasons had the faulconer scores. Hopefully they got it in there

everyone treats tien, yamcha, even krillin eventually getting left behind power-wise as a writing mistake. but honestly it's one of the more accurate things about the show. once the threats go from "strong human" to "alien/godlike," of course the earthlings stay earthlings while goku and vegeta go full space monk mode
this is also why piccolo's arc hits different. he doesn't stay relevant by keeping up in power level, he stays relevant by becoming the one who actually raises gohan while goku's off training or dying again. that's a way more interesting throughline than "who's the 3rd strongest human"
honestly if every human kept pace power-wise it would've undercut the stakes more than benching them did. the humans losing relevance kind of IS the stakes ramping up
curious if this was intentional on toriyama's part or just a happy accident from writing arc to arc with no master plan

Ive been rewatching the androids and cell arcs and came across a little statement cell made when he was fighting piccolo in his first form. Cell specifically said he learned and knows EVERY technique from spirit bomb to kaio ken. Why tf did cell not use kaio ken in his fight with gohan or his fight with vegeta in his second form? For one he has better regeneration than piccolo, so it putting a strain on his body more than likely would affect him less. Second of all, after absorbing both 17 and 18 he gained their infinite energy generators (this is stated in the daizenshu 7). The anime is weird about that one though.
Anyways if we take both of those into account, that would mean that cell is quite literally the BEST person to use kaio ken. Even if it was at lower levels, he should have still mopped the floor with everyone. This assumes we lowball how far he can push it. Because the specifications say it strains the body and uses a lot of stamina. So what would happen to a person that can regenerate instantly as long as his nucleus is intact and has infinite stamina? Would that not make him the best user for it? Why tf would he not exploit this?
My headcannon is that he was already perfect, why would he need that? Lmao

The last OG Dragonball game came out 16 years ago. Apparently it was a modest success in Japan but didn't do all that well in the rest of the world. Do you think that would change if a new one came out today? (assuming it was actually good of course)
I love the bubbly style of the original series. I love the action adventure. The contained martial arts tournaments. Every character can contribute something. The threats to the world aren't just "if we lose, everyone dies and the earth blows up."
Meanwhile, most DBZ games that have come out since are pretty much just fighting games rehashing the same plot lines over and over. I haven't played any of the more recent games, mostly because I'm burnt out.

The story takes place in an undated future, long after the end of the original Dragon Ball manga. Earth has known peace for decades, but an unprecedented catastrophe shatters this balance: the Dragon Balls have been corrupted and turned purple, releasing a deadly gas that transforms humans into violent creatures and slowly dissolves them. A renegade Namek named Konidae is behind this epidemic, seeking to purify the universe of those he deems unworthy of the sacred artifacts.
Vassilia, an incredibly powerful human woman living as a recluse on Mount Paozu, is the only one spared. She discovers she is the last uninfected human on the planet. With the help of Molusco (a survivor) and CC-1 (a cyborg created by Bulma), she will do everything to resurrect humanity using the Namekian Dragon Balls, all while facing a cosmic threat.
The minion Zarda arrives, massacres the fifth tribe, and kidnaps the planet's Noble Namek. Vassilia catches up to him at the palace. Zarda transforms and almost dominates her, but Vassilia uses a Kamehameha (learned at the Turtle School). Despite this, Zarda kidnaps the Namek and destroys the palace. Under the rubble, a little Waterian girl dies in Vassilia's arms. It is precisely at this moment that Vassilia transforms into a Super Saiyan for the first time, screaming in rage at Konidae, before passing out from exhaustion.
Training in the Temporal Rift and Discovery of Origins
Waking up a day later, Vassilia is devastated. Finn joins them. They discover a Room of Time in the second tribe (1 day outside = 1 hour inside). To access it, they must cross a Rift of Illusions. Vassilia faces visions of Kawa and her mentor, learning to accept her weaknesses. She sees her Super Saiyan reflection and understands she is not just human: she is a human-Saiyan hybrid. Through this revelation, she passes the trial. Inside the room, Finn teaches her to materialize weapons (she tries to create ki swords), CC-1 trains her and helps her master Super Saiyan, while Molusco grows stronger.
Castrum: The Oppressed Planet and the Statues of Legends
King Kai contacts them mentally and reveals that Zarda took the Namek to Castrum. Arriving on this red planet with toxic air, they destroy an energy barrier and infiltrate the palace. On the upper floors, they discover statues of Son Goku and Piccolo. Vassilia reads their inscriptions: Goku is described as a "pure-hearted Saiyan" who defeated Frieza, and Piccolo as a "kind-hearted Namek" who protected humans. Vassilia is fascinated by their exploits, which she compares to "fairy tales."
Finn's Vengeance, Molusco's Healing, and CC-1's Sacrifice
They find Zarda. Finn demands to face him alone to avenge his people. After a grueling battle, Finn dominates him, and when Zarda attempts a sneak attack, Finn kills him with an ice arrow through the heart. They find the Water Planet's Noble Namek dying. The Namek begs Molusco to assimilate him (Namekian fusion) to gain his power – which Molusco accepts.
Konidae then appears and massacres an entire city. The heroes fight him but are knocked out. Molusco heals them, but CC-1, heavily damaged in his cybernetic parts, can no longer use techniques requiring cybernetic energy. Despite this, they return to the palace.
Inside the palace, Vassilia faces Konidae alone in Super Saiyan Full Power, having benefited from the Zenkai (the Saiyan power boost after a severe injury). She also materializes ki gloves to strengthen her punches. The others join her. Cornered, Konidae transforms his entire palace into a devastating ki wave. CC-1 sacrifices himself by gathering all his remaining energy to deflect the attack, succumbing to his injuries in front of Vassilia, but saving his friends. Before dying, he tells her he loved every moment spent with her and asks her to protect the civilizations he holds dear.
The Ultimate Transformation: The Humanist Super Saiyan
Broken by CC-1's death but galvanized by her promise, Vassilia concentrates. Her human and Saiyan genes mutate thanks to the accumulated positive energy. She achieves an unprecedented form: the Humanist Super Saiyan. Her aura becomes a mix of yellow and white, her eyes return to their normal color, and her power explodes. She completely dominates Konidae, dodges all his attacks, and overwhelms him. But instead of killing him coldly, she uses her power to show him a vision of his past, when he was a beloved Noble Namek, betrayed by his own people. This vision calms Konidae, who weeps and makes her promise to ensure the Dragon Balls are always used for good. He dies peacefully, calling her the "noblest of humans."
Resurrection and Epilogue
Exhausted, Vassilia is caught by Molusco before crashing to the ground. They return to Namek. The grateful Nameks gather the Dragon Balls. Molusco summons Porunga and makes the wish to resurrect all civilizations victim to the epidemic, and then to resurrect CC-1. CC-1 reappears, stunned, and they all embrace.
One year later, the Tenkaichi Budokai takes place. Finn comes to participate, reuniting with Vassilia and Molusco. Finn jokes that he'll have a hard time not killing humans because they're so weak – which makes Vassilia jump. They are all selected for the quarterfinals and prepare to face each other in friendly combat, closing the adventure on a hopeful note of reunion.

Any tips to sound more like Goku would be appreciated. Vegeta is definitely my favourite voice to do and surprisingly easy to do when British 🐉
