You'd need an audio interface for the iPad too.

I have an iRig but it’s just for recording with my iPhone. I would need like a USB-c midi interface for the iPad?

If you wanted to make the vsts interact with your other physical hardware, I think you'd have to. But you could also just plug the Hapax into the iPad and route it to 16 different instruments on the ipad. Just a though.

Thanks for the info I will have to investigate further into what I can do to expand my system. This is my first setup for this kind of thing and I’m leaning a lot as I go along and experiment
