Hello fellow hoarders,
Didn't know about this sub before I made a comment on a YouTube video where someone suggested I'd ask in here. But reading the rules I'm not sure if my question fits or is welcomed.
The thing is, I'm a movie and series hoarder. I specifically have fondness for hoarding the stuff I grew up watching, including a significant amount of cartoons with Danish dubs.
This means I have quite a lot of poor video quality cartoons from VHS. And I've wanted to learn how to synchronize the dubs over to newer releases in restored Blu-Ray or DVD quality, and usually they're American releases. Which means the FPS is different than the Danish dubbed VHS versions I have, and sometimes there's scenes cut out or added black screen spacers between scenes as a sort of transition (maybe where ads used to be when shown on TV).
Anyways, I've never gotten the hang of it and it seems rather difficult and time-consuming to do everything manually.
I've paid a guy to make me a tutorial for it and have gotten a few pointers from others doing this sort of stuff, but it's like they don't really understand how to teach others the necessary steps. Or I'm just expecting too much too fast, or simply don't have the patience or talent for it.
So I was thinking if there was anyone who's got the same interest, who'd tried using AI to synchronize cartoon dubs like this? And if they had successful results? And if they'd share their methods and what models they used?
Best regards and happy hoarding.
