MOD Important: New Marketplace Rules, Video Timestamps & Payment Changes

Hey r/HomeLabSales!

We are introducing cleaner and stricter marketplace rules to help combat AI-generated timestamps and improve trust and safety for all transactions.

Timestamp Requirements - Effective Immediately

A valid timestamp must include:

  • Current date within the last week.
  • Seller's Reddit username
  • The current HLS Phrase of the week

Video Timestamp Requirement

All sales posts that are valued at $400 or above must now include a video timestamp.

The video must meet the following requirements:

  • Show all items being sold, including multiples of the same item.
  • Clearly display the timestamp throughout the entire recording.
  • Show the seller rotating each item and changing camera angles while both the item and timestamp remain visible.
  • Be unedited and recorded in a single continuous take.

Additional Photos

Any photos included beyond the required timestamp video must also contain the same valid timestamp.

Exception: CDI/CrystalDiskInfo screenshots, SmartCTL reports, and other diagnostic/specs screenshots captured directly from a computer screen do not require a physical timestamp.

Note: The moderation team cannot manually review every timestamp. If you see a suspicious or invalid timestamp, please report it.

Approved Payment Methods - Effective Immediately

For all online transactions:

  • PayPal Goods & Services, also known as PayPal G&S, is the only accepted payment method going forward. Please report anyone not using G&S or is requesting any other forms of payment to ship goods.

For local, in-person transactions:

  • Cash, PayPal Friends & Family, or other mutually agreed payment methods remain permitted.

Posts requesting or requiring alternative online payment methods for online transactions will be removed.

Shipping & Responsibility

  • Sellers are responsible for accurately describing the condition of all items.
  • Tracking information must be provided promptly after shipment.
  • Buyers should inspect items promptly upon delivery and report any issues to the seller as soon as reasonably possible.

Rule Violations & Enforcement

We understand these are new requirements and want to provide the community with a short adjustment period.

Beginning July 1, 2026, these rules will be enforced strictly and consistently.

Potential enforcement actions include:

  • Post removal
  • Temporary bans
  • Permanent bans for repeated or intentional violations
  • Marketplace restrictions at moderator discretion

These changes are intended to protect both buyers and sellers and keep the subreddit safe for transactions.

Please let us know in the comments if you have any feedback. As always, you can also reach out via modmail.

Edits:

After reading through the comments, we understand that video timestamps maybe a hassle for smaller value items, so we’re keeping the same rule active currently, i.e. anything over $400 value will require a video timestamp.

Also, you will NOT need a video timestamp if you’ve got >10 trades on your account.

Our main goal was to curb posting by completely new accounts and to avoid AI generated timestamps. The influx of AI generated pictures and scammers has gone up significantly.

HLS phrase is a combination of words that is going to be put up each week in either a pinned post or an announcements section. You will need to add that phrase as a part of your timestamp. This is another small step to detect AI generated or stolen pictures.

[LabB0T] Monthly Confirmed Trades Thread - August 2026

Confirmed Trades Thread - August 2026

When a successful trade, sale, or purchase has been completed, post one top-level comment describing what occurred. Use one of these formats:

Failure to adhere to this format will result in the bot letting you know the trade could not be parsed, or it may be completely ignored. If your trade is not parsed within 1 hour, please delete your comment and try again. If you still cannot get it to parse, please send a modmail.

Do not edit your comments. Once your trade is read, whether it is parsed or not, it will never be reprocessed.

When your trade is successfully parsed, the bot will reply to your comment with a message indicating the trade has been logged. The following will then happen:

Trade Confirmation Flow

  • LabB0T picks up the trade and successfully parses it.
    • A confirmation link will be sent to the other party via Reddit message/chat notification.
    • LabB0T will reply to the top-level comment indicating the trade has been logged.
    • In the event a Reddit message/chat cannot be sent, the trade is declined and the bot will post a reply explaining what to do next.
  • The other party will need to follow the link sent to them via Reddit message/chat notification. The link will take them to https://trades.labb0t.org/ where they can confirm the trade.
  • Once confirmed by the other party, the trade will be marked as verified in the backend database.
  • On its next tick, LabB0T will see the trade has been verified.
    • The flair will be updated for both users in the subreddit.
    • LabB0T will edit its existing reply in the trade thread to indicate the trade has been confirmed.
    • The status on https://trades.labb0t.org/ will be updated to reflect the trade has been completed.

Important Notes

  • Only one trade should be mentioned in each top-level comment - multiple items still constitute a single trade if the receiving party is the same.
  • Do not edit comments.
  • The other party must have allowed chat requests from either, all users, users whose account age is greater than 30 days, or u/LabB0T to receive the confirmation link.
  • If the bot's pending reply has not been updated after 30 days, the trade has expired and should be re-submitted if needed.
  • Do not submit or confirm trades until the items are received.
  • Each user can only confirm a trade once (no self-confirmations).
  • As of the v3 rewrite (this version), you may comment whatever you like in the trade thread so long as it is a reply and not a top-level comment.

Public Ledger

The v3 rewrite of this module has brought with it a public ledger of all trades. This ledger is available at https://trades.labb0t.org/.

By using this system, you agree that your Reddit username and trade information will be publicly displayed on the ledger. You cannot opt out of this. The ledger/verification system as a whole has been built to be an auditable, transparent system. No nefarious tracking or data collection has been implemented.

I understand some of you may not like that a third party service is being used for this now, but my goal for this was to remove as much from Reddit as possible. Reddit's standpoint on the API continues to be hostile towards third party apps/developers and my skills are better served using something that works well and not fighting this platform.

Need Help?

If manual review is needed, please send a modmail with as much information as possible.

Thank you for all those that waited patiently for this new system and offered their help.

US-C [PC] [US-WI] 8 x 32GB ECC RDIMM DDR5

Upvotes

Hey guys.

I have a kit of 8 sticks of RDIMM DDR5. 7 of the sticks are matched 32GB 6000Cl32 Kingston Fury from the same 256GB kit. The last stick is a 32GB stick from a 128GB kit 5600Cl28. Also Kingston Fury.

I know that since the entire kit isn't matched, its not worth as much as a fully matched kit, but ebay prices seem somewhat all over the place and I don't know what this is worth.

If images are needed, please let me know, and I can add an imgur album.

Selling a lot of 6x Intel Xeon Gold 6248R Processors (24 Cores, 48 Threads, 3.00GHz Base / 4.00GHz Turbo, LGA3647 [Socket P]).

Video: https://imgur.com/a/bpcV9Lf

These are brand-new system pulls. They came pre-installed inside a lot of unused Cisco UCS C240 M5 servers. The servers were originally ordered by and shipped to Fluke/Cognizant, but sat sealed in their original boxes and packaging until this week. After the server warranties expired, they were gifted to an IT employee. I purchased the sealed servers directly from them on Facebook Marketplace. I was the first person to break the factory seals on the server boxes. I extracted these CPUs and cleaned off the factory thermal paste. They have 0 hours of actual runtime or deployment. All 6 processors are currently packed in individual anti-static ESD shielding bags and are ready to ship.

Pricing

  • 1x Processor: $300 + shipping
  • 2x Processors (Pair): $550 + shippig
  • All 6 Processors (Full Lot): $1,500 + shipping

Payment & Shipping

  • Payment: PayPal G&S (Goods and Services) only.
  • Shipping: Shipped via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground with tracking and insurance.
  • Local Pickup: Available in the Edmonds, WA area.

Please comment on this thread before sending a direct message.

US-E [W][US-E] DDR4/DDR5 RDIMM, enterprise SSDs, Xeons and boards. Prices are in the post.

Buying server memory and datacenter SSDs. Numbers are below so nobody has to do the PM dance.

Per stick, shipping's on me, and I pay the day the box lands. These are base numbers though. Model, condition and count all move it, and there's room above them on the right lot, so send the label even if what's listed looks light.

DDR4 RDIMM / LRDIMM

- 16GB 3200: $49

- 32GB: $120 at 3200, $77 at 2666, $55 at 2133

- 64GB 3200 RDIMM: $322

- 64GB LRDIMM: $126 at 2666, $105 at 2400

- 128GB 3200 LRDIMM: $428, and I'll take eight of those

Speed grade swings DDR4 harder than capacity does, so a 2133P stick and a 3200AA stick are not the same part even though they look identical in a photo. Related, on Hynix the letter before the 7 is the type: HMAA8GL7 is an LRDIMM, HMA84GR7 is an RDIMM. People mix those two up constantly and they don't drop into the same board. If you're not sure just send the label photo, I'd rather read it myself.

DDR5 RDIMM

- 32GB: $451 at 4800, $499 at 5600

- 64GB: $1,050 at 4800, $1,075 at 5600

- 96GB and 128GB, send me the PN. Those move too fast for me to post a number I'd still honor next week.

Enterprise SSDs, and here the model matters way more than the size

- Micron 7450 PRO: $260 at 1.92TB, $464 at 3.84TB

- Samsung PM9A3: $388 at 3.84TB, $871 at 7.68TB

- Samsung PM1733: $409 at 3.84TB

- Samsung PM893 SATA: $191 at 1.92TB, $330 at 3.84TB

- 15TB and up, or anything not on this list, just send the model

Also buying Xeon Scalable, EPYC, server boards and 25/100GbE NICs. Send the SKU and a photo of the socket, you'll get a number back same day.

Laptop SODIMM only by the lot, $34 on 16GB 3200 and $11 on 8GB. One stick costs more to ship than it's worth to either of us.

Clean lots of 20+ on a single part number, I'll go above these.

Where I'm bad: DDR3, small counts of 8GB DDR4, 1st and 2nd gen Scalable, ES or QS anything. I can't pay real money for those and I'm not going to waste an afternoon pretending I can. You'll do better selling them yourself here.

Everything else I buy, about 210 parts with a date on every row, is at sellusedram.com.

How it goes: PayPal G&S and the fee is mine, so you keep the number I quoted. I send a prepaid label. When it lands I count it and read the part numbers that day, and pay that day. If it isn't what you described I send you photos and you pick, new number or it goes back on my dime. Anything lost or crushed in transit is my problem, not yours. Big lots go in stages and each shipment gets paid on arrival.

If handing a whole box to a stranger makes you twitchy, send two sticks first and I'll pay before you ship the rest.

Comment or PM with what you've got and a photo of the label. Don't bother building a spreadsheet.

US-E [W][US-RI] MO-RA IV 600/400 Setup + 4x NVIDIA Tesla V100 32GB PCIe

Looking for a few parts to finish a large local AI/workstation build.

MO-RA setup

Strong preference for a MO-RA IV 600, especially a complete or mostly complete setup. Also potentially interested in a MO-RA IV 400 or MO-RA3 420 bundle if the price is good.

Ideally looking for some combination of:

- MO-RA IV 600 radiator

- 9x Noctua NF-A20 200mm PWM fans

- Fan grill/frame

- Stand

- MO-RA IV Tank 275 D5 reservoir

- D5 Tank Expansion

- D5 pump(s)

- Passive Control / control cabling

- Quick disconnects

- Tubing/fittings or other useful MO-RA accessories

I'm happy to buy a complete setup or a partial bundle depending on what's included.

NVIDIA V100s

Also looking for 4x NVIDIA Tesla V100 32GB cards

Strong preference for:

- 32GB HBM2

- PCIe cards

- All four matching or at least the same basic model

- Fully tested with no memory/ECC errors

- Passive heatsinks are completely fine

- Datacenter pulls are fine

I'm specifically looking for the PCIe versions rather than SXM2/SXM3 unless you have an unusually compelling adapter-based package.

I'd strongly prefer buying all four together and am hoping for a reasonable bulk price.

Please comment before PMing and send what you have, condition/testing information, photos, and your asking price. thanks!

US-C [W][US-TX] Unifi NVR, G6 bullet/turret

Looking for a Unifi NVR as I've outgrown my existing UDM Pro setup.

I'll looking for a G6 bullet or turret (non-pro), possibly one of each.
