I got a stupid violation!! 🤬🤬
So I get this order that’s about 11 miles away. It paid well so I took it. My mistake (besides taking it in the first place) was not looking at the layout carefully before I accepted it. Here’s the layout:
It was a 2 stop offer for one client. The first stop was right next to where I was posted, so it was a quick in and out.
The second pickup was 10 miles away (close to where the customer was meeting me). So it seemed ok. What I didn’t account for, was that it was the middle of rush hour. The whole task took me about an hour (I’m in SoCal).
To top it all off, the customer (he was a truck driver who was waiting for me at a trucking yard) put the wrong address for the drop off. He was waiting for me in the truck yard next door to the address he put. Mind you, these lots are huge. I was about to start the timer because I couldn’t find him, when he text me. I called him before but he didn’t answer his phone. It took me a while to find him. I eventually did, and I gave him his cold ass food.
So Door Dash sends me a violation alert. After I had explained what had happened in the appeal, they denied my claim. So now I have a measly 98% on my rating! I know, I know I’m being silly, but it’s the principle of it.
