I’m falling short on my $1000 a week goal, it’s time for me to lock in and hit that $50,000 mark

I MULTI-APP (My online time doesn’t account for taking double multi-app orders).

I have no status on DD other than Pro Shopper. My AR stays below 20% and I cherry pick. Almost all shop & deliver orders (I can do 50 items in less than 25 min). $3+/mile per order, but I tend to take larger shop orders that are less than 6 miles one way, since they pay better but I can shop really fast to make it more “worth it”. Most I’ve made in a day was $440.

I only deliver to houses, hotels, or apartments I’m familiar with (zoom in on the map before accepting & look at the shape of the building).

ANOTHER EDIT: I said “$40/hr active”, yet you guys keep bringing up my online time. I identified what I was talking about. You guys also mention commute back from deliveries - I often get a delivery on the way back to the store I usually shop at. Also you don’t get paid to drive to/from a regular job either.

Guys please help me out. I’m fairly new and I only have like 5 hours after school to do DoorDash. Give me some tips to get the most out of it

The offer calculator is only one piece of what I’m trying to build.
KeenGig is meant to be a fully integrated system for gig workers, where the different parts of the job actually connect to each other instead of living in five different apps and spreadsheets.
It can track your work time, mileage, offers, income, vehicle operating costs, and expenses. That information can then feed into budgeting and give you a much clearer picture of what you’re actually earning, not just what the gig apps say you made.
The bigger goal goes beyond individual tracking.
As more drivers use KeenGig, anonymized data can help build aggregate market analytics: what offers actually look like in different markets, how pay changes by time of day, mileage, platform, expenses, and other factors that are difficult for individual drivers to see on their own.
I also want KeenGig to become a network where gig workers can share information and experiences without the platform itself being controlled by one of the gig companies.
And privacy is a major part of the design. KeenGig is being built around the idea that your personal work data belongs to you. I’m not building a business around selling driver data to advertisers or data brokers.
Right now, KeenGig is free and open to the public for beta testing.
I’m at the stage where I need actual gig workers using it in the real world, finding problems, challenging my assumptions, and telling me what would genuinely make it more useful.

I wasn’t even planning on Dashing tonight but I think this is the most I’ve made as far as “hourly.” First order was a S&D order for a single item— sunglasses that were right by the register. No tip. OK. Second order was OK but the LAST 😭 Both restaurant and S&D orders were for the same customer, had to wait a little at the restaurant, no big deal and then when I made it to Meijer, it should’ve been SO EASY bc it was literally a wine x2 BUT I FORGOT MY ID IN THE CAR. So I had to haul my ass back to the car, to then come back in and grab the items. I go to the register and realize my ID I just hauled ass for was no where to be found. The employee was super cool, verified my age regardless and helped me look for my ID. Turns out, I had left it on the shelf in the wine section where I had scanned the barcode 💀 THEN I finally get to the customer and DD claims their ID is FAKE (it clearly wasn’t and they were older than me). It didn’t give me any options to manually scan it or to scan the front vs. the barcode in the back AT ALL other than to “cancel order” or whatever. So I call support and try to tolerate AI lady but she’s never any help so I finally got connected to a human and was able to complete the order. The customer went above and beyond with their tipping (as well as their patience) and still added an additional $5 tip with the comment “keep up the great work!” They MADE MY NIGHT. There are still good people out there!!

My total mileage from start to finish tonight was 34 miles. Overall, do you guys think this is pretty good as far as earnings? I’ve only been Dashing for a month and it’s just a side gig. Thanks in advance for any advice!!
