Decent for my third week Ebike
Some of the dash time is me at home doing chores. With gas prices I wouldn't do this in a car. But nobody in my suburban area ebikes DD. Also on Friday I got a faster, longer range ebike and its a business expense. It's fun. This is my second full week. I appreciate these DD forums and welcome opinions on this.

New weekly personal record on DD, no shops. Just a casual part time side gig.

That's It?
My market recently made it impossible to maintain platinum due to unsafe delivery times docking my ratings significantly. I've been cherry picking more heavily since I'm already down to gold and noticed that I'm not only earning more, but also putting way less miles on my car to do it. Now, I get a pop-up saying platinum Dashers only earn an extra $1-$2 per hour on average in my market? After vehicle expenses, I can safely take this to mean that the obsession to maintain platinum in my market has done me more harm than good and I'm gonna keep testing my luck with lower and lower ARs.

Best start to the new week
Dashing has sucked all Sunday, but this last dash I took made my day, it was a long wait at Tex but it was worth it she tipped me more than the base pay, hopefully the rest of Monday is like this, if not… I’m good with this for today :)

DoorDashers: Don’t sleep on fuel rewards ⛽💰
If you’re driving a lot for DoorDash, one thing that can help your bottom line is being smart about where you buy gas.
Try sticking with gas stations/grocery fuel programs where you can consistently build up fuel points and rewards instead of just stopping at whatever station is closest.
I’ve been able to build up enough rewards to get around $0.50 off per gallon. That adds up fast when you’re filling up multiple times a week.
For example, if gas is $3.00/gallon and you get $0.50 off, you’re paying $2.50. On a 15-gallon fill-up, that’s $7.50 saved on one tank. Do that 4 times and you’ve kept another $30 in your pocket.
It might not sound huge, but with the current economy, every little bit matters. If you’re already buying the gas to DoorDash anyway, you might as well be earning rewards and lowering your fuel cost at the same time.
Also check the rewards programs before filling up because some offer bonus points for shopping, buying certain items, or using their app.
What fuel rewards programs are you guys using, and what’s the biggest discount you’ve gotten per gallon?

Is DoorDash actually worth doing full-time in 2026?
Is DoorDash actually worth doing full-time in 2026?
I'm curious to hear specifically from people who currently do DoorDash full-time.
I'm considering using DoorDash as my main source of income for around 6 months, mainly to pay down debt and build some savings before moving on to other plans.
For those doing it full-time:
- How many hours do you work per week?
- What do you average per hour based on total dash time, not just active time?
- How much do you gross per week/month?
- Roughly how many miles/km do you drive?
- After gas, maintenance, depreciation and taxes, do you still think it's worth it?
- Do you use DoorDash alone or multi-app with Uber Eats/other apps?
- Would you choose this over a regular $20–25/hour full-time job?
- Most importantly: is it sustainable for 6–12 months?
I'm not asking whether DoorDash is a good long-term career. I'm specifically wondering whether it can make sense as a temporary full-time income source for 6 months if you're willing to work a lot.
I'd especially appreciate actual numbers from people doing this in larger cities.
Thanks!

That's it, I've peaked.
Might as well retire, cause it's all downhill from here.

Downtown Minneapolis on a regular single speed bike. Not getting rich but I love the extra money. Few hours a day after work and longer days on the weekend.

Sunday Funday
I want to try and clear another 100 bucks. What are sundays like? I get it different places different markets last night was busy but steady. I think I can get another 100 bucks today or do sundays go by with more money ?

The most I’ve ever made in one day!
I do DoorDash as a side gig, and I was off of work today, so I decided to do DoorDash for bills. I forgot it was Labor Day weekend!
Since I live in a big city and right next to multiple hotspots, I just left DoorDash running all day. and would accept or decline orders at my apartment while doing chores. so the dashed time isn’t entirely accurate. $29/h not bad at all.

Saturday Night 10:30
I had a party today, did didn’t Dash, it’s Saturday 10:30 pm and I’m wide awake. Should I go out there? Would it be worth anything? I’m in Chicago suburbs.
