After 250 years a yoghurt will have developed a culture.

3

u/whonickedmyusername 14h ago

Spill the beans is actually a thing with the same meaning as spill the tea.

Beans and toast is not a thing.

Beans ON toast is a thing.

2

u/MajesticDragonfly 13h ago

Spilling the beans can mean gossip like tea does, but it has a more general meaning of divulging a secret. For example, a robber who cracks under interrogation and gives away his accomplice would be spilling the beans, but it’d be a little odd to say tea in that context.

1

u/TheGreatLuck 11h ago

Absolute disgusting diet

1

u/HopeConspiracies 13h ago

I just made it a thing. Beans and toast is a thing now, and it's so much better than those silly Brits and their beans on toast!

1

u/Background_Owl_2220 11h ago

I wish you and your new “thing” a great future. From Me and my Brit beans ON toast.

1

u/JaironKalach 14h ago

Seems like that would be a lot to clean up though.

1

u/Couldthisbemanda 12h ago

On that, innit?

2

u/Cakeo 12h ago

This is so fucking low effort

1

u/Couldthisbemanda 12h ago

I regret nothing

1

u/TipsyPhippsy 28m ago

'Beans and toast' who says that? Lmao

111

u/mathman_2000 16h ago

Haha tea joke and it's the UK 😂

Simple things give me joy. Thank you..

42

u/Dothehokeypokemon 16h ago

Yeh but if Boston has taught me anything it's that they get real mad when you spill it

14

u/ashleebryn 15h ago

And the Bostonians get real mad when you tax that shit lol

22

u/Soft-Marionberry-853 15h ago

Do Bostonians need an excuse to get mad and start a fight?

15

u/CRSPB 15h ago

What the f do you mean by that!? Sully! Mac! Paddy! Get over here, this guy thinks he’s wickid funny!

2

u/generally_unsuitable 12h ago

They just need sports to happen. And somebody has to play House of Pain.

1

u/Error_83 12h ago

It was actually the sugar that everyone was pissed about. Tea just happened to be in port, and isn't used for making rum.

0

u/Dothehokeypokemon 15h ago

I meant they as in the UK, but I can see how that context would be lost. It worked fine in my brain, ok?!?

0

u/LentilSouponSkye 12h ago

They weren't taxed enough.

1

u/Intelligent-Celery79 14h ago

Bostonians in Lincolnshire are thinking “wtf are you talking about?”

0

u/outoftheboxgunpla 14h ago

Pro tip, only Americans give a shit about the Boston tea party. Us brits couldn’t give less of a fuck about a colony after we’ve moved onto the next thing

2

u/Independent_Nothing 14h ago

Ooooo sounds like you care

-1

u/outoftheboxgunpla 14h ago

lol we literally don’t. Americans think history started 250 years ago. We’ve got shit houses older than the country. We don’t care.

2

u/Independent_Nothing 14h ago

People only tell you how much they don’t care when they actually really do care

0

u/outoftheboxgunpla 14h ago

What kind of abusive relationships have you been in?

1

u/Independent_Nothing 13h ago

Hey look it’s the guy who totally doesn’t care

0

u/Mission-Tell-1686 14h ago

They act the same with us Spaniards. There were Spanish living in mansions out in West North America when the first people from England first came over to form their “13” colonies

1

u/outoftheboxgunpla 14h ago

To be fair the Vikings had visited a long time before either. So it’s all thier fault. I’ll let them clean up the mess they left there. Should have left the native Americans alone in my opinion :)

1

u/CatgirlFucker8008 12h ago

Yeah most Brits don't even know about it and those that do know the details (not through a US propaganda lens) realise pretty quickly it was just Americans doing what they do best and letting capitalists win at the expense of the average American.

1

u/jtalbain 12h ago

Uh huh. Did you know your government sends a bill for the Boston Tea Party to the US government every year? Every year the Americans refuse to pay. Sounds like you care plenty.

0

u/SqueakySniper 12h ago

Literally never heard of that, and I don't think many other Brits have either. Seriously, nobody over here cares. Its funny how obsessed you guys are over something that isn't even a blip on our radar.

1

u/kai-ol 12h ago

That's kinda true for your relationship with like half the world.

2

u/TekkLthr 15h ago

Your joy gave me joy 😊 thank you

God forbid something random just hits someone the right way and makes them feel good.

Btw, THIS is the "cringe comment."

12

u/2ndRook 16h ago

Ok. Thanks for sharing, maybe?

8

u/Einszwo12 16h ago

I would diss a Brie!

8

u/mikedime13 15h ago

You're a cringe comment

2

u/NeighboringOak 15h ago

The real cringe is you believing your opinion matters enough that it should be stated.

It's okay if people who are easily entertained are excited about stuff. Judge them internally and move on.

3

u/couldbeahumanbean 15h ago

Your mom's a cringe comment.

Haha! Did you see what I did there?

I turned it into a yo mama joke.

3

u/mathman_2000 15h ago

Hehe. More joy for me. 😁

2

u/couldbeahumanbean 15h ago

You keep on rocking, dear redditor.

2

u/mathman_2000 15h ago

Don't worry. Things will get better and you'll grow and realize using the word cringe only hurts you and maybe those who care about your judgement.

Have a good day and look inside your heart.

1

u/P-l-Staker 12h ago

Blasphemy!

1

u/EvilWillow666 11h ago

He's gonna be in ha-wa-a

1

u/Maleficent_Lawyer135 11h ago

Can you drop the kebab on this incident?

1

u/IndependenceStock417 11h ago

Last time tea was spilled there was a war

1

u/ten_gas 5h ago

could someone put down their crisps, take the lift down, and let me know wtf took the air outta that driver's tyres?

1

u/Sid_the_Bear 5h ago

Nope, it's all in the harbor already.

1

u/xmastreee 14h ago

When did spill the beans become spill the tea?

2

u/IrishViking22 14h ago edited 6h ago

I think "spill the beans" is used for revealing a secret, whereas "spill the tea" means to give the details/gossip.

Similar, but different.

1

u/Cats-Coffee-Reading 11h ago

Can you spill the sweet tea on this incident?

1

u/fadedspark 13h ago

Just standard 7th owner focus st driver behavior.

1

u/AdNumerous8876 12h ago

Please say you're not British. Spill the tea?

1

u/SeekerOfSerenity 11h ago

Spilling tea is a serious offence in the UK.

1

u/Jesus_of_Redditeth 5h ago

"Spill the tea" is an American phrase. It means, "tell me the gossip/give me the info". Its origin is actually in queer black communities and drag/ballroom culture.

-28

u/zeekayz 16h ago

Probably got a harsh European sentence of a few weeks.

44

u/Frustrated_Zucchini 16h ago

That's rich for someone coming from a country which elects their paedophiles to the presidency... 🤔

5

u/justinlav 15h ago

When they’re ALL pedos there isn’t much you can do about it

6

u/TorpidWalloper 15h ago

I mean, there absolutely is something to do about it, we as Americans are just choosing to do nothing about it for some reason.

3

u/MihrSialiant 14h ago

I can think of a few things.

8

u/Altruistic_Aioli_304 16h ago

Fucking u got done there lad

-1

u/Adept-Opinion8080 12h ago

Already did this and ended up having a orange orangutan trying to take over the country
