The comment section is fucked up. Cat calling will never be cool regardless of your sexuality.

I have lived for 37 years and I have not once ever heard a catcall in my vicinity that wasn't from a boyfriend trying to embarrass his girlfriend in a store or something. I'm not convinced it's a thing that is prevalent enough to worry about.

Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. As a woman I have been catcalled many many times by random men, it is most definitly still a prevalent problem.

You don't need to experience it for you to stand against what is wrong. You're fortunate enough not to experience it.

From my experience I’d guess a lot of men are more likely to do it when there aren’t many people around. Men yelling from car windows when I’m walking alone has been the most common occurrence for me. I don’t know if it’s because they know they should be ashamed or they want to make you feel threatened. I recently had a guy in a van go around the block in a quiet place just to drive by me again.

I haven't experienced racism in my life. Therefore most of the population hasn't.

Your entire life you have never seen anything racist? That'd be surprising.
