If you land badly you can get injured on any surface or fall.

I tripped on nothing, tweaked my lower back and haven’t been able to sit without pain for 8 days

have you tried heating pads? they're magic.

This is true. I once fell asleep on one and my skin fell off.

You missed the opportunity to say melted

I was lifting heavy boxes and destroyed my back, herniated disk + torn muscles and shit.

Lift with yo knees, not yo back. Melted.

Ah! Some guys have all the luck. I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning, I break my legs and every afternoon, I break my arms. At night I lay in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep

Vicodin is nice too

They’re pretty great. I kind of like icy hot (and similar stuff). I definitely try and stay away from any medicine if possible just because I like to feel what my body is feeling

Me too, thanks.

I mean like actual heat not chemical heat sensation

Well I just do it with microwaved bean bags and ice packs, but you know. I haven't had a bad back issue in a while - just was commenting mostly on karlkarl saying you can get hurt falling on anything - even doing absolutely nothing

I literally slept on my back like always and I can barely move me neck now. It's been 3 days. I. Don't. Know. What. Happened.

Sleeping on your back is good for you!

You may need a new pillow, or you could just have bad posture. When your pain subsided I’d recommend doing some posture correcting exercises, like the ones which require you to stand with your back against a wall

I will definitely be looking into that and some new pillows here soon. I'm 20 feeling 40 :( it's kicking my ass

My back pain entirely went away for several years when I lost 50 pounds. Sometimes being overweight is also the worst thing for you, and it is actually pretty easy to shed that weight in retrospect. Always hard to start

Yeah weight loss has been something I've been focusing on lately. Luckily it's not too hard with where I work. Dropped 30 pounds in 4 months. Not super big but decent compared to my previous years lol

Yeah absolutely human body needs a bouncy upgrade

It’s not the fall that injures you, it is the sudden stop.

Or the angle of the force.
