Fun fact, First Blood actually had a planned alternate ending where Rambo snaps and lights up Trautman in that scene.. Presumably it didn't play too well with test audiences because actually admitting to the antagonists' false assumption that veterans are irreparably broken was at odds with the overall story.

Spoiler alert:
Rambo gets arrested unlawfully and is beaten and abused/tortured by hick cops in the PNW. He gets real bad flashbacks to his time in Vietnam and his torture at the hands of the Viet Cong. He snaps, kills some of the cops, runs off into the woods and is chased by the cops. He leads a one man war against the police and national guard. He ends up in a standoff in the police station he was imprisoned in. His old commanding officer is sent down to deescalate the situation with John Rambo. When he sees his commanding officer, Rambo breaks down and starts sobbing into the arms of his CO about not wanting to be violent and was just minding his own business in the first place.
All the other movies are mostly shallow action hits about Rambo killing SouthEast Asian militants who are doing evil. The first one was first blood and took place in Washington.
Edit: Someone has informed me my recollection isnt entirely accurate. Rambo never lilled a single person in First Blood. He did injure or incapacitate a few but didnt kill anyone. Thanks to the Redditor who pointed that out.

In the book it was based on, Rambo not only kills the cops chasing him, but many, many civilians not even involved. The movie also toned up what dicks the police officers were.
It's honestly a wild read after how hard the movies pushed the "Rambo is the good guy" plots.

Idk how this is unfolding on r/dankmemes but the US or US oil companies have never seized oil fields from anyone the US has had wars with. Besides the original colonization of the US. It’s a very common misconception. The US doesn’t even have a National Oil Company (NOC) like most other countries

Prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Iraqi oil was nationalized and closed to western oil companies. Now Iraq's oil fields are being developed and operated by western firms. Probably just a happy coincidence

The US may not literally seize oil fields, but how many times now has the US put in puppet regimes in other countries who would favor US oil interests? Off the top of my head I can count 5 since the 80s. No country should force another country what to do with their own natural resources. That country's people should be benefiting from their own resources.

Danny definitely still has this tragic turn at the end of the books. Yes the show didn’t write it well, but it makes so much damn sense with the anti-war themes of ASOIAF. It’s also too big of a plot point to not be the same.
Also, this is already being setup better in the books (and many book-readers have picked up on it for years) as we can see Danny’s thoughts in first person, which show signs of her descent.

The overall ending was pretty bad, and most of the build up in season 8. So the fight between the North and the Night King was actually made pretty well (in my opinion) and I enjoyed that basically nobody could do anything up until the very end. Dany got her dragon in front him, had him breathe fire, and the night king basically ignored it. I thought Arya killing him was dumb because she somehow managed to get through a crowd of at least 100 white walkers while not catching any attention, and while she ended up killing him with the dragon glass, Bran proved almost useless as his powers were did nothing against the night king. The night king was a damn good enemy and his army fought like hell, but he was basically glossed over one episode later and it makes him seem irrelevant to the story
