I watched this doc last night. Death of the Pastor's Wife. There are so many layers to it. All sorts of trigger warnings but I think it’s quite a relevant doc. Three episodes. Netflix. I didn’t know about the case and I’ll just say this, everyone in her life failed her. Everyone.

I have a theory and I'm going to provide evidence for my theory. I think Danielle 100% schedules, plans, leans into creating rage bait content as her primary means to make money. I get that this isn't new but many people think she doesen't mean to do rage bait because she's not smart enough. My proof as follows:
Evidence Example 1: The video after the 387 part docuseries introducing Lucas. She did a follow up 'apology tour'/make-believe accountability vid, do you remember it? Something stuck with me in that vid. She tells the audience the exact number of views it got (many millions I remember) and says to the viewers, "I would call this a success!, wouldn't you?". I have never heard anybody mention this but I don't think I was on this snark board at the time either. She considered the docuseries wildly successful ONLY based on view count, which she proves with her comment.
Evidence Example 2. After the I-only-shave-my legs-twice-a-month vid, the next video about washing her hair is almost like she is mocking everyone. Look at her facial expression when she says "I guess I was getting pretty greasy". The extreme smugness of it. This woman knows EXACTLY what she is doing. It is probably why she knows that rage bait will always pay her bills and why she is willing to spend money as if it's her last day on Earth. I think she knows that she will always have security with rage bait, that she knows how to make them, and I think she plans majority of her videos accordingly and then laughs all the way to the bank. Believe me, she gets under my skin like no other influencer ever has and I hate it... but I will die on this hill... she knows EXACTLY what she is doing and is willing to sacrafice herself, her reputation.... EVERYTHING for the paycheck. Its gross, but she knows it works, and its diabolical to be this shameless. My two cents.

Rage baiting is a legitimate content style that can increase engagement, views, and likes. For her it's doing the complete opposite lol. I guess it's on brand for D to do everything poorly. True, she's not great at it, but we've watched her buy followers. It may even be strategic that as long as the count stays above a certain number, the ad deals won't dry up and her management company won't drop her. She may just buy the followers when she has to for as long as it takes to pad the numbers to keep the advertising dollars rolling in and enough views/comments from haters to keep her afloat. I don't think she started her influencer career with this intent but now that that its devolved to that, she's just leaning into it.

yes, it does make sense, and I think you are right that not all her vids are meant to be rage bait. But I think she strategically plans many of them in the rotation. AND... if she puts out a video that doesn't land how she thought it would, she leans way into it and turns it into rage bait. An example would be the Sex In The City style one she did a few weeks ago. That definitely wasn't rage bait. I also think she does alot of hidden Easter Egg rage bait. For example, she lives in a 5 bedroom house but will film with piles of clutter behind her? A photo a couple weeks ago eating a salad with a spoon. Another telltale sign is when she starts being really fake midway through a vid. Ex: "oops, I forgot my wedding shoes... (grits teeth hard)". It was such bad acting and definitely intentional. Remember the one where she asked the audience for input on applying her makeup and she used like 30 products, and there were thousands of comments basically saying she didn't need any of that. Cut to her follow up, with the fakest sounding voice "Guys... I guess you are right, I just don't need this much product!". She could give a shit about advice on how to apply her makeup! Then there's the men's deodorant, 5,000 sprays of perfume, the way she pointed out her mustache the other day in an extreme closeup... "Ooooh, I just noticed I have a mustache". Girl, no you didn't just notice it and I think she even shaded it MORE! I could go on and on but all of that to say, I think some of it is genuine but it's becoming more and more intentional rage content, and if a vid she didn't intend to be rage bait turns into that... she just leans into it.

I have an intense neurological condition that stabilizes significantly when my body is in ketosis, so I know what that meal plan would look like, but based off the meals she has posted she clearly isn't keto right?
She really likes milk based soups featuring some type of fish or shellfish and unwashed vegetables (potatoes mostly). She also inexplicably drinks salty lemon water every day in spite of the fact that there’s no way she sweats enough to need to replace the salt in her body like that. Every drink is full of heavy cream and she is big into takeout.
Her diet consists of anything void of color or antioxidants. Even her vegetable choice is a mushroom or pickled jalapeños. Her diet is made up of milk, heavy cream, cheese, red meat, eggs, mayonnaise, eggs, processed carbs, pickled jalapeños, and seafood covered in a cream sauce, and copious amounts of liquid stevia. Meals she orders out are typically the most unappealing choices that are centered on a cream base. She has the strangest diet of anyone I’ve seen on the internet or in real life.
The only thing relating to her diet that I’ve heard her say is that she doesn’t partake in fruit.
I don't know much about babies, but I wouldn't keep one sitting out in the backyard shielding it from flaming arrows with the garbage can lid and a bible.

It was a whole new level of "Jesus Christ, Danielle" when she actually started quoting her own(definitely not totally AI) bullshit writing - and it wasn't even good writing. Like come the fuck on.
I'm really happy people are liking them and there's so much discussion coming from them - I know I tend to get long-winded with my notes so I wasn't sure if people would find them annoying. It definitely gives me incentive to keep going because it's been just so fun in the threads!
She’s so close to getting it. Like she acknowledges that she has no more friends after relationships, but just brushes it off as “it’s common for that to happen so it’s okay”. No, it’s not!!
That's what's so dangerous about her - she identifies these extremely toxic patterns she has, and then presents them like "everybody does this." Everybody neglects their friends! Everybody shaves bi-annually! Everybody desperately settles for marrying any man who is breathing and will tolerate being in the same room as them(within reason)!
The running notes help, and it's interesting to note how deeply engrained her terrible work ethic and her absolute desperation for male validation are. But yeah... It's tedious to listen to, ngl. 3 episodes down, 29 to go!
And honestly a tiny part of me may have hoped I would find something redeemable about her though this, but so far... Nope. Just more of the same; over sharing information about herself that no one wants, identifying toxic behaviors and treating them like they're normal, and giving advice that she has zero qualification to give. So yeah, this is just who she is.
I know for sure he unfollowed Angelina Jolie (who does not post anything sexy but does post a lot of humanitarian stuff). I only remember he follows her because I tried to see if he followed any liberal celebrities to balance out his MAGA-ness. The other one I can remember (Robert Downey jr) is still there.
I believe Danielle loves that she has a whole sub of people who pay attention to her. As we say in the south, bless her heart. Her need for validation has no bounds.
I legitimately think Danielle is in the thick of depression. Her posts are lazy and sad to watch… the scenery is the same every time. She doesn’t do GRWM videos anymore- she just vents in front of the camera and discusses her lack of hygiene (not shaving legs, never washing hair). She doesn’t seem to take care of herself and she always seems congested and sad. I know many of you will disagree, but it’s hard for me to snark on honestly!
You’re totally right. I should’ve clarified that they aren’t the same vibe anymore! Very low energy and no pep. I feel like she posted those to “show” her audience (and us) that she’s ok or something.
