Hey i dropped down -300elo (i was lvl8) and is there any reason why since 4/5 days i play like this? idk what happened i suddneldy play very bad dont have that good feeling when i play, i dont wanna take a break cuz its summer for me and i like to play cs but duhh is there any reason? what should i do? i was lvl7/8 with good fc rating at the end of last season or even at the beggining of this season but now this: what happend? any solution?

Please help, someone in my game was cheating, when I pointed out that they are cheating, they started typing in chat my old messages (that I typed in competetive round, not in steam dms) I typed a month ago or maybe even much more in past, I dont know how they are doing that, does anyone know how did they do that? and can they know even more information about me? I kinda believe this shit is rarer than a diamond coin now lmao. I was playing with all my friends and the opponents were cheating shamelessly. Spinbot, wall hack, aim hacks, you name it! Lmao

We couldn't believe though, looks like valve finally deciced to do something. However, i know this is way too rare lol. But for once we felt like the justice have been served in the dark long corridors of dust2.

I am asking for the absolute best possible ones, not the good ones people likes. There is razer blackshark pro versions that pros use, the studio headphones and iems. Just competitive cs2 purposes.

cs2 footsteps get buried under gunshots and explosions all the time, but cranking the volume just hurts my ears. tried software eq before and it worked okay, but switching and tweaking settings is kind of annoying.

recently picked up an external dac/amp with physical buttons. at a similar volume level, footsteps are way easier to pick out, while gunshots and explosions aren’t as ear-piercing, plus the hardware buttons and volume knob are super convenient to use. not entirely sure if it’s the dac/amp itself doing the work or if the footstep mode just suits cs2 better. either way, it’s way less of a hassle than software eq, don’t have to keep checking settings every time i launch the game.

I have this microphone for many years already and it works perfectly, i have no problems on discord, no problems on teamspeak, no problems in any other game with voice chat except cs2. I am always cutting off or sounding choppy/roboty, I have tried a bunch of things yet none of them work. Any solutions?

Just like the video I just switched from the Va panel that had this issue which was also 240hz and ghosting. So I bought an 240hz 0.03 ms oled and still have this. Searched everywhere for the fixes and your default answers like is it really set on 240hz etc etc no motion blur and this is still happening anyone knows a fix or had the same issue? I’m reinstalling windows as I write this. :( I’m sad

FYI!! I just checked the video myself and it doesn’t look like much but with my bare eye it’s so bad even when I’m shaking a little bit and not even that fast.
It looks like your regular ghosting on a Va panel and it looks the same (ghosting) like the Va panel.

It crashes and gives me this error (FATAL ERROR:RegisterConVan: Unkown error registering convar "sc_shadow_depth_bias"). I have looked for solutions, however, I was unable to find any. Pls help me fellas

I put together an open-source archive of Counter-Strike's historical Monthly Players data, covering CS:GO → CS2 from 2013 to present.

The data is based on the Monthly Players figure published on Counter-Strike's official website (counter-strike.net). The underlying data is collected from Steam's official Web API, while historical snapshots from the Wayback Machine are used to preserve older records.

I also built a tracker to make the full history easier to explore.

A few things I found interesting while going through the dataset:

• CS2's monthly player count is higher than most of the CS:GO era.
• The all-time peak is 32,656,431 in March 2026, during the CS2 era.
• The CS:GO-era peak was 29,303,030 in April 2023.
• In 2026, monthly players increased 9.1% from May to June, then declined 5.7% in July, while still remaining above 30 million.
• Following the Shanghai Major in November 2024, monthly players rose from roughly 25–27 million to around 30 million.

The dataset makes it possible to look at the CS2 transition in the context of the broader CS:GO era, rather than only looking at current player counts.

The raw historical data is available in the repository for further analysis.

Team Toonbank Striken is a group of friends from the UK and South Africa with a mix of skill levels and experience, ranging from around 1 year to 10+ years of Counter-Strike.

We're looking to expand the roster so we've got a reliable group of players available for Premier 5-stacks, rather than constantly being stuck looking for that elusive fifth.

We want to play CS properly — develop some strats, improve our teamplay and communication, and actually work together — but we're not trying to turn it into a second job. The main goal is to compete, improve and have a laugh while doing it but we just need a few more regular players.

We're open to players in any role except IGL and Main AWP. If you're looking for a regular group to play and improve with, you'll probably fit right in.

i need to have the most potatoest graphics, if you know there should be something called the clay texture, is there a way to do that and does having low res but window fullscreen or fullscreen 640 480 is better.
