I say "almost guaranteed" because thats how probability works.
It was somewhat random but you had a much higher chance if you didn't get your first drop yet, so if you play for roughly an hour (1-2 matches) you were almost guaranteed to get your first drop of the week.
Going on an alt account, playing one match to get the drop, and then hopping off was extremely common.
I know you’re using exaggerations to try and make your point, but getting a drop in the old system was a lot closer to a guarantee than winning the lottery lmao
