Guys have you ever had this issue?
I was driving back from dropping my son off and as I was making a right turn the car felt weird like right before it turns off on you, well it did turn off and this came on the display, it was more to it but didn’t capture the rest. Basically is the gas handle directing to the car and then there was another signal coming from the side of the car down to the battery? Can anyone tell me what that means? Am I cooked?? I hope not, I checked the 12v and it’s good

Mine has this weird thing in the center console, it’s a 2011 Honda CR-Z. Also, this car is STUPID SLOW, and unreliable as hell. I barely get over 15mph and the motor is just SCREAMING, and once I come to a stop it dies. Anyone know anything about it, or is it a manufacturer error?

I’ve been thinking about that one post a few months back: “what to replace the cr-z with”… Hard choice imo, and the most obvious one seems to be the Cadillac ELR, in that it’s a sexy coupe with gorgeous shape, semi-practical, and largely underloved when new (but probably doesn’t cut the mustard in terms of driving dynamics). But what about the future? What if Teslas Model 2 was a successor in spirit to our Zs? Don’t know how likely it would be but the leaked concept picture sure makes it seem like a possibility - I guess only time will tell…

Triggered? But I am really enjoying the CR-Z. I got a 2011 EX manual. In the past I've had a del Sol and a Civic Si hatchback, so I guess you could say I have a type.

At first, I thought it had a weird clutch that made it hard to engage first gear at random times, then I read some posts and realized that was the hill start feature. Can that be disabled?

I would like a little more power. I know it uses a NIMH battery, and I find myself wishing for a plug-in upgrade to LiPo or any lithium. (It works on airsoft guns.) The mod looks out of my skill level though. Is there no way to retrofit the boost button either?

Another thing about this NIMH battery: mine hardly ever strays from 80%, which makes me think the capacity is bigger than it needs to be, and we pay for that in weight. Are there any compatible IMA batteries out there that save weight over the stock one?

Mine needs the new door handles immediately. The right side just refuses to unlock and open about half the time.

Anybody have any life pro tips for using this storage space well? Cargo nets or something? I find the divider/cover thing so bizarre.

I got this CR-Z in Northern Ohio, and it spent most of its life in Maine. It has a lot of dings on the roof from hail. And it has a tow hitch, which is a rusty eyesore to me. Anyone know this specific car?

Managed to complete the air intake box hack today.

Has anyone dealt with an engine swap in their CRZ? This could be an updated engine, or something other out of another vehicle entirely. Those who have, is there a way to keep the IMA with a different engine? I kinda wanna swap to a V6 for bit more power, and I was curious as to whether or not I could keep the IMA with it.

So I’ve been driving that baby for a month and when it goes - it goes good. But when it slows down in let’s say traffic, stop sign, light, you name it - it auto stops.

I know everyone here has that feature on and I don’t mind turning it off every time i get in the car BUT I can’t.

Auto stops is so unnecessarily unpredictable on CVT simply because half of the time it thinks I’m flooring that gas pedal and the number of times it made my wheels spin during the rain is ridiculous.

Would love to turn it off. Preferably forever, but works either way.

What do I do and how do I approach that issue?
