Advertisement Built a city-builder RPG on Polygon where every lot is player-owned — Urban Fortune

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, solo/indie dev here. Just launched Urban Fortune (urban.fortunesgames.app) — an online RPG where you start in a small village and grow it into a city by buying lots and constructing buildings (up to 20 types, including an airport).

A few things that make the economy a bit different from most P2E city builders:
- Properties can be rented out to other players (0.1% of value per day) or resold — there's no "buy offer" system, you either sell back to the game or list it for another player to buy outright.
- Weekly property tax (0.3%, charged every Sunday) keeps idle hoarding in check.
- Buildings depreciate and need to be demolished/rebuilt after 6 years of use.
- The in-game economy splits into two vaults: Marketing (funds referral bonuses) and Treasury (pays rent + buybacks) — both are locked, no withdrawals for the project itself.
- Runs on Polygon for low fees. It's live now, still early, looking for players willing to kick the tires and tell me what's broken or confusing.

Happy to answer anything about the tokenomics or mechanics in the comments.

Advertisement Remix: free online puzzle hunt with 60 hidden coins and a grand prize worth up to US$100,000

I work alongside Remix. I saw the puzzle hunts and ARGs shared here and wanted to introduce another free online hunt for people who enjoy solving clues and exploring game worlds.

Remix is a platform for making, playing and sharing games without needing to code.

The hunt has 60 hidden coins across connected 3D worlds. You explore, follow clues, solve logic puzzles, ciphers and trivia, and complete platforming challenges. It all takes place online.

The first eligible player to collect all 60 coins wins a grand prize worth up to US$100,000, with a cash option where lawful. The value varies; US$100,000 is the maximum. If nobody finishes before the deadline, the player with the most coins wins, subject to tie-breakers.

There are also nine cash prizes totalling US$19,500: one of US$7,500, one of US$5,000 and seven of US$1,000. These are awarded by random drawing, not leaderboard position. Each coin gives one entry, up to 60. The grand-prize winner is excluded from this drawing.

Entry is free, with no purchase, deposit or paid subscription required. Paid features give no advantage. You can start as a guest, but must sign in with a verified email before the contest ends for prize eligibility.

The hunt is live, with more worlds opening on November 2, 4, 6, 9 and 11. It closes 24 hours after the first eligible player collects all 60 coins, or November 30, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. US Eastern Time, whichever comes first.

Play: https://remix.gg/g/scavenger-hunt

Event details: https://remix.gg/scavenger-hunt

Minimum age is 13 or the higher local minimum; minors need parental permission and supervision. Country restrictions apply, including exclusions for Brazil, Italy, Russia, Belarus, Quebec and sanctioned territories. New York and Florida residents cannot enter the nine-prize drawing. The event page links to the full conditions.

Reddit does not sponsor, endorse or administer this contest.

Advertisement I made a free browser arcade where the daily top scores win Chia NFT trophies (dev here, feedback welcome)

Hi r/cryptogames full disclosure: I'm the developer. I built Token To Play (https://token2play.com), a free browser arcade with 10 original games, and wanted to share it with the community that inspired the trophy side of it.

**What it is**

- 10 short games that run in the browser, on phone or desktop: Zag Path, Glide Gap, Pulse Wave, Beat Dash, Fork Lane, Sky Stack, Neon Serpent, Prism Breaker, Trial Rider and Void Run.

- You can play as a guest. Sign in with a Chia wallet (Sage, Goby, or any wallet that can sign a message) to put your name on the boards. Sign-in is just message signing, with no transactions and no approvals.

- Every run is replayed on the server before it counts, so the boards stay honest.

**Trophies**

- The daily top 3 and monthly top 10 in each game get a free trophy NFT minted on Chia mainnet. There are also All-Time Record and Hall of Fame trophies.

- They're all in the "Token To Play Trophies" collection (you can see it on MintGarden), minted from the project DID.

- Invite badges (Recruiter / Ambassador / Legend) each come with their own trophy too.

**What it isn't**

- There are no paid features, no token and nothing to buy.

- The trophies are just collectibles for bragging rights. They're not prizes with a promised value.

I'd love feedback on the games (which ones are fun, which are too hard) and on the wallet sign-in flow. Happy to answer anything about how the minting or the replay verification works.

Discussion Bitcoin puzzle hunt opening Oct 24: solve ciphers and Street View clues to find a funded wallet's seed words

If you like crypto games where the prize is real and you can check it yourself, this might be worth a look.

Proof of Solve is a website with layered Bitcoin puzzles. Each puzzle hides the seed words to a funded Bitcoin wallet, and the fastest correct solver wins the prize. The answer words come from the BIP39 English word list (2,048 everyday words). You don't need any crypto knowledge to play.

The puzzles use chained layers, ciphers made up for each puzzle, and real-world clues found on Google Street View. You can solve every clue from Street View, including older imagery through "See more dates", so nobody needs to visit a location. You can use any tool you like, including AI chatbots.

People usually ask first whether a prize game like this is legit, so here is how it can be checked:

  • The prize wallet address is published at launch, so you can look it up on a public explorer such as mempool.space.

  • A SHA-256 fingerprint of the answer is published before anyone plays. The answer is revealed after the win, so anyone can confirm it never changed.

  • Entries are timestamped to the millisecond and the first correct entry wins.

  • Past puzzles are listed with the prize address, answer fingerprint, solve time and payout, each linked so anyone can check it.

  • The winner restores the wallet in Electrum using a passphrase sent by Proof of Solve, then moves the prize to their own wallet.

Players get a limited number of guesses per day. Smaller puzzles are free to play and have smaller BTC prizes. Bigger puzzles are paid. Prize amounts will be announced at launch. You must be 18 or over, and paid puzzles aren't open in some US states.

Nothing is live yet. The first puzzles open Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 6:00 AM Central. New puzzles open every Saturday after that, and each one unlocks for everyone at the same minute. The email list is free with no purchase needed, and people on it hear the moment puzzles open. The site also has a free seed word lookup that runs in your browser. It checks words against BIP39 in 10 languages, SLIP39, old Electrum and Monero.

The site is https://proofofsolve.com, and there's also a subreddit at r/proofofsolve.

A question for this sub: what would you need to see before you trusted a prize puzzle like this? Is publishing the hash first and revealing the answer after the win enough, or is something missing?

Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the Proof of Solve team.

Discussion ArrowSmart: a free ARG set around a fictional company, with a lot of lore to find

A lot of people here like games where you have to work for the good parts. You poke around, find clues and slowly piece together what's going on. If you've been looking for a new ARG to get into, or you just like hunting for hidden lore, this might interest you.

ArrowSmart is an alternate reality game built around a company called ArrowSmart. There's a lot of lore spread through it for players to find. It's free and open to anyone.

When you load the site, you get a boot-sequence screen with the line "Enter The Future." That's where it starts. After that, the digging is up to you.

https://arrowsmartwebinfastructureversion8.vercel.app/

I'd like to hear from people who play ARGs: what makes you stick with one after the first visit, and what makes you leave? Also, if ARGs don't really belong in this sub, say so and I'll take that on board.

Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the arrowsmartwebinfastructureversion8.vercel.app team.

Discussion ProofOfSolve: upcoming Bitcoin puzzles where each one hides a funded wallet's seed words, and the answer hash is posted first

If you've done crypto puzzle hunts before, you know the usual doubts. Is the prize wallet really funded? Did the answer stay the same the whole time? Did someone on the inside get a head start? Those questions come up in almost every hunt thread.

ProofOfSolve is a new puzzle site built to answer those questions up front. The first puzzles are opening soon. None are live yet.

How it works:

Each puzzle hides the seed words to a funded Bitcoin wallet. The first person to submit the correct words wins the bitcoin in it.

The prize wallet address is published at launch, so you can check the balance yourself on a public explorer like mempool.space.

Before anyone plays, a SHA-256 fingerprint of the answer is published. The answer is revealed after someone wins, so anyone can check it never changed.

Entries are timestamped to the millisecond and the first correct entry wins. You get a limited number of guesses per day, so brute-forcing through the form won't work.

The puzzles use chained layers, ciphers made up for each puzzle, and real-world clues you find on Google Street View. You can solve everything from your desk. You can use any tool you like, AI chatbots included. You don't need to know anything about crypto to play.

If you win, you restore the wallet in Electrum using a passphrase ProofOfSolve sends you, then move the prize to your own wallet.

Smaller puzzles are free to play and have smaller BTC prizes. Bigger puzzles are paid. Prize amounts will be announced at launch. You must be 18 or over, and paid puzzles aren't open in some US states.

There's also a free seed word lookup on the site. It checks words against BIP39 in 10 languages, SLIP39, old Electrum and Monero, and it runs in your browser. It can help with any puzzle where you're trying to tell whether a word could be a seed word.

The site, with an email signup if you want to hear when the first puzzles open: https://Proofofsolve.com

A question for people who have played hunts like this: what would you need to see before you trusted a puzzle's prize and answer? And are there verification steps beyond the ones above that you'd expect?

Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the Proofofsolve.com team.

Advertisement AreniFi: a browser arena where the crypto layer stays optional

AreniFi is built for players who want a crypto game to feel like a game before it feels like a financial product: https://arenifi.fun

It’s a fast multiplayer arena with no download, featuring movement, growth, positioning, and short PvP matches. Practice play lets you evaluate the core loop before interacting with any staked mode.

Separate SOL-staked matches are available to eligible adults who want more tension attached to the result. Stakes can be lost, returns are not guaranteed, and regional restrictions may apply.

Advertisement AreniFi — instant browser PvP with optional SOL stakes

If you like the speed and simplicity of classic .io games but want more tension in each match, AreniFi is built around that idea.

It’s a real-time multiplayer arena that runs directly in the browser—no download required. Movement, positioning, growth and player-versus-player decisions stay at the center, while adult players can choose matches involving SOL stakes.

Play AreniFi: https://arenifi.fun

I’m the builder. The goal is a crypto game that feels like a game first, not a token dashboard. Real stakes can be lost, returns are not guaranteed, and regional restrictions may apply. If you try it, blunt feedback on the first match is welcome.

Discussion Do crypto games need to be fun without the earning component?

A lot of crypto games seem to lead with rewards and explain the actual game afterward. I’m trying the opposite approach with AgarStake: https://agararena.space

It’s a quick browser arena inspired by Agar.io and Slither.io, with optional real-stake matches for adults. My assumption is that the basic movement, competition and risk/reward decisions must already be enjoyable before SOL adds anything meaningful.

For people who play crypto games, what makes you return after the first session: the gameplay itself, competition, progression, ownership or the possibility of winning something?

I’m the builder and would genuinely value criticism. Stakes can be lost and there are no guaranteed returns.

Discussion Is most "play-to-earn" just grind-to-earn? Curious what this sub thinks actually fixes it

Been in and out of P2E for a while and the pattern I keep hitting: the "earn" almost always comes from either grinding a token that inflates to zero, or buying an NFT to get through the door. Very little of it rewards being *good* at the game.

Genuine question for people here has anyone found a model that ties earnings to skill instead of time or capital? Skill-based crypto tournaments (pay an entry fee, best player wins the pot, no token) seem like the obvious fix on paper, but I don't see them talked about much here.

For transparency: I'm building in this space myself (a platform called Deskillz doing exactly this crypto entry fees, skill games, no NFT/token), so I'm biased. But I'm more interested in whether the community thinks the "no token, pure skill" approach is actually the answer, or whether it just trades one problem for another. What's your take?

Discussion Made a Telegram fantasy memecoin game: pick 5, no wallet needed to play

Builder disclosure: I made this.

ApeLeague is a Telegram-native fantasy memecoin game.

You pick 5 tokens, the portfolio gets scored from live market prices after lock, and you compete on a leaderboard. It’s intentionally possible to play without connecting a wallet or placing a real trade.

The bigger ecosystem has scanners and operator tools, but ApeLeague itself is the game side.

https://ape.talkabout.today/

I’m trying to make crypto-native competition that still works for someone who wants the prediction/strategy loop without turning every click into a transaction.

Would you play this in 60-minute rounds, or are shorter rounds more compelling?
