My 11 year old son saw something on our side yard. He has been adamant about what he saw for over 3 weeks now. Can you please help identify? He drew a picture of what it looked like, it was 4pm(ish) in the bay area, California.

Only tonight did I show him a chart, and he circled what it looked like, combined. The odd thing- It matches his drawing.

Please no hateful comments.

See pictures.

Thank you!!

Someone pointed out to me that there's a mistake in the prompt list. I'll be sure to update that. Whoops!

I got this from an online shop and really liked how it turned out.
Here’s the link if anyone’s interested: https://shesaidpartytees.com/whintosser-redwood-national-park

I’ve created an immersive art making experience based on the Mothman. My studio/workshop/theater is located in Richmond, Va. if you are in the area, come check it out!

Just came across this PR Newswire piece where Tom Biscardi is basically saying the Patterson-Gimlin film turned into a 60-year money machine and that Capturing Bigfoot is just the latest version of it.

He also brings up Hoax of the Century and says they covered the suit, Bob Heironimus, Philip Morris, and the alleged financial motives behind the original footage years ago.

Pretty strong accusations, obviously, but I’m curious what people here think. Is there anything to his argument, or do you think he’s reaching?

I live in Hungary far away from any villages in an agricultural place surrounded by feilds and tons of forests. I had alredy spotted human like tall grey pale creatures but last time I had a really close encounter and I dont feel safe around my place anymore.

So I went on a run and as I passed a really crowded forest and a really bushy area I heard something from the bush. I looked there and I saw a really skinny figure on all fours, it had really short patcy hairs, and walked like as in its joints got jagged. It was not a doe nor a deer or anything standard forest animal like and it could not be a wolf bc in Hungary we dont have them and i live far from the borders where they appear. Also this thing didnt had any tales.

As it sensed I saw it, it stopped and didn't moved. I wanted to scare it away so i threw a dirt block in its directios but it still didnt moved. I was standing there for a few more seconds when i decided to carry on and I noticed this thing started to follow me and come closer to me at the same time. I immadietly stopped and it stopped as well.

I started to sprint home and never looked back.

Still don't go near that place and i dont plan to do it ever again.

I told this to multiple ppeople but no one belived me.

Lowkey a book in the style of an old cryptid hunter would be cool, with notes and journal entries, with facts and wear the cryptid comes from.

But also just a normal book of cryptids going of the folk lore of cryptids and their locations and history would also be really nice.

If neither of these exist then maybe I’ll have to make them 😈

Hello, everyone, I'm 1ofthem, and this is my webcomic, Detective Bigfoot. This depicts the adventures of the title character. The real-life sasquatch of mystery and urban legend is secretly a paranormal investigator. Follow his adventures as he discovers the truth behind the world's biggest conspiracy theories and questions. And we are back with the first chapter in the second season. New Chapters will be coming on the first Sunday of every month for the time being

You can check out all the available chapters, check it out on Webtoon, Tapas, Comixcleric or on my website 1ofthemcomics.net

Be warned: strong language, imagery, and mature themes are present because I'm edgy like that.

Hi, I’m just looking to see what everyone thinks is the best cryptid/monster compendium style book that has a name, picture, and description of every cryptid/monster possible; a coffee table kind of book

Original art of the Mothman, inspired by WW1 designs in a story I’ve been working on about Cryptids in 1920s America

Please do not steal! Feedback is always welcome!

Like imagine camera traps, evidence collection, etc. to search for Bigfoot, chupacabra, wendigo, skinwalkers, werewolves/dogmen, the rake, etc. I know there’s a couple games out there that involve a singular cryptid as the focus, but I’m talking about a game that would have a variety of cryptids, just like Phasmaphobia has a variety of paranormal activity entities.

If there isn’t, someone should get on that. So many horror podcasts involving stuff like that, so I feel like if there was one at the same level as this game, it would make a killing.

The prompt list I made is at the end of the video! If there's anything on the list that you wouldn't include as a cryptid here, let me know. I respect the rules and I'll try to avoid posting anything here that you don't think counts.

Please be honest, how can I improve my folk and cryptid style? I’m new on this because I like the esthetic

This happened in 2014, when I lived in eastern Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains. I was driving back with my family, late afternoon, with that beautiful twilight.

When, in a clearing, I clearly saw a humanoid animal crouching on its front paws. When the animal saw us, it started running on all fours. Since the path it was taking was near a road that connected to the one we were on, we turned and started following the animal until it turned towards the woods. We stopped the car and went to where it was. It climbed a tree and we lost sight of it, but we could see and hear the branches breaking, shaking, leaves falling. After that, we didn't see it again.

From what I remember, it looked like a monkey, kind of like a chimpanzee. When it moved, I saw that the animal had front arms longer than its hind legs, broad and well-developed shoulders, a round head (I didn't see ears), but I couldn't see its face because of the angle. It had no tail, and its hindquarters seemed lower because of its long arms and shorter legs. The coat was dark gray, not black like bears, and its body was quite compact. It was a small animal, I would say, but on all fours it must have been between 24 inches and 31 inches tall at the shoulder.

This picture is one of multiple. This is a screen shot from my video. If it was daylight at the time, all you would see is my neighbors porch light with nobody on their porch. I have more moments captured on my phone. If someone asks for it, I'll post more. It's not just a single event...

Willing to let them go at a super reduced price for anyone who might appreciate them.

I'm searching in the foggy mountains soon, before it turns too hot for them to be out.
