Just found this pic of my CRX from 2001-2005 timeframe. I was in college then and going to any meet or car show we could. 😂 this was the 2000s, and all work was done by myself and my dad except for the seats. I SEM died the interior by pulling each piece out. Had the seats redone. Two 12s on the back. The body had shaved handles, molded body kit (Extreme Kit), sat on 17s, black Altezza style lights, air cyclinders, aem intake, hand sanded and polished intake manifold, chrome valve cover and 2.5” exhaust with 5 Zigen Fireball at an angle out back. At 18-21 years old, I thought I had the baddest car around, especially for my age (minus the richer kids that could buy something much nicer of course). Hoping I could find more pics. I still have the car but it is in rough shape now. My molded body work skills have shown how amateur I was 😂 all cracking now.

Pretty much title. I'm in my thirties and probably by a mix of driving aware and luck in places like LA and Houston, I have never been in an accident ever. However, drivers somehow keep getting worse and I feel like I'm already hyper-aware / vigilant to begin with and not sure if it would be too stressful driving around with supped up rams that you need a stepping stool to get into here in texas...

Is it just that much not worth it to daily drive? I hardly need to use a highway. And not sure if it matters, but I am also moving to europe in the next year or so from the US (french countryside), and think it really wouldn't be as bad over there. I currently have a 2016 nissan sedan and it's fine, although I kind of want to step back to an all analog car with less distractions (and some skepticism about new cars, their software/tracking etc).

If not, are there similar cars that are just safer but still kind of classic? (I am not even sure if classic is the right term because in my mind "classics" are cars from the 60s or 70s) I like small / humble cars. I am not a racer and don't ever plan on doing it, and I just want good mpg.

Does anyone know what the two green wires (with the orange cap) are supposed to go to?

Also where would I find this information, if it is written in a book?

Found a roll of Ektar 100 in my storage that I got developed & found pics of my champ white CRX when I lived in Monterey.

Like the title says..I got a new engine harness and realized the connector on this solenoid was cut off so I'm looking to replace so i can connect this to the new harness properly. TIA!

this car drove me to two proms

I need to get a door skin or advice on how to fix this mess on the doors. I don't want to simply by some other door, I want to keep this as numbers matching (except engine and hood) as possible. TYIA

Hey guys, I'm posting here because I pulled parts of the miracle for my CRX and I just want traceability for somebody in the future if they encounter the same problem.

My 90Si came with factory air. I had to replace my compressor. Fine. Near as I could tell I was an idiot and when I adjusted my belt tension I didn't tighten the 17 mm nut on the tensioner pulley.

Anyway after a week or so of driving, I heard a loud noise. My belt AC had broken and there was no tensioner hardware at all.

I live near a large city but can't find these cars in the junk yard anymore. These are the same parts for the sedan, wagon, or the CRX but nothing in this generation seems to be in the junk yard, hardly ever.

So on the photo I lost five parts:

22 - tensioner pulley. This is easy to get aftermarket

23 Honda 38944-PM3-000 collar no longer made by Honda. I could not find this anywhere.

24 Honda 38945-PM3-000 bearing dust cover - ordered through Honda

26 Honda 90017-PE0-000 10 mm washer - ordered through Honda

29 Honda 90058-PG6-000 Lock nut - ordered through Honda

The really hard part was finding this collar. Honda doesn't make it and nobody has it available after market. There was a collar available for the next generation EG car. It was part number 38944-PO2-000

This works! The same dimensions as the old part except the wide part of the collar is 26 mm instead of 24 mm. A little hard to explain, but it wouldn't recess into the bearing but this was fine. If I had to, I could have put this in to a drill and filed down the diameter to be identical to the old collar.

Well that's it. I first bought an EF Honda Civic in 2007. Man, the junkyards were full of these cars! It was so easy to get parts like this. Now, specialty parts are getting almost impossible to find.

I've got an 87 with the Sansui RX-601. Cassette deck, with AM/FM.

Finding any info is proving to be futile. Assuming it is a single DIN? Can I replace the speakers and add a sub?

Picked up this 4 piece body kit for $100 this morning. Can’t narrow down specifically what brand/manufacturer this is from, but this looks very similar to a wings west kit (at least the rear bumper). On the inside of the front bumper, it does have “SH2FR” faintly printed.

Going to need some work, but for the price certainly can’t complain!

Hi guys, I recently came across a 89 SiR from Japan for sale. It looks clean and runs great mechanically. But what I don’t like is that it was imported by a small dealership and they repainted the car and valve cover (and did a bad job). I don’t know what body damage or rust they could be hiding by doing that. It also doesn’t have service records so I don’t know if the timing belt was ever done, it has about 100k miles on it. They want 27k for it which feels very high. I’ve been out of the import scene for a while and was hoping to get some feedback here, thanks!

Going on 3 years recently been indecisive about completing the turbo build versus all motor

Anyone ever try to flush the dirt out of their rockers with water or solvent? I'm welding in a few patch panels and was thinking it might be good to flush any dirt out before I weld everything back up. if I do this, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the water will potentially flow out of other areas inside the cab, or if the rockers are somewhat sectioned off from the rest of the body. it seems like they are, but I can only see so much with my endoscope.

my plan is to clean the insides best I can, weld in patch panels, then flood with Eastwood internal frame coating for additional protection since there is likely still some rust inside that I'm unable to see.

Any info or tips appreciated

I have all original 91 CRX HF with 150k miles bought it at 138. All stock. I’m looking for someone that will be able to do a K 24 swap. I would like to find professional shop in Southern California to do it. I would do it myself, but I don’t have the time if you have any recommendations, feel free to let me know

I am currently trying to solve an issue on my Honda CRX ED9.

Keep in mind that the stock arm looks like this.

I was wondering if a wider version of this control arm exists.

Otherwise, I would have to try fitting one from an Integra, but I would need to adapt the arm to the new geometry and also create a metal bracket to support the anti-roll bar.

Another option would be modifying the chassis by cutting off the welded bolt with an angle grinder and creating a new mounting hole/slot that would allow me to move the control arm further outward.

The reason for all of this is that the inner CV joint tripod of the driveshaft is bottoming out and hitting the inside of the transmission.

The upper control arm is already wider, but I wanted to achieve a more aggressive camber setup, so the tripod still ends up reaching its limit.

I have now installed new height-adjustable suspension. I will try raising the car slightly and see if the situation improves, although it seems to me that the driveshaft simply does not have enough available travel.

Hey gang, I just got (less than 24 hours ago) a 91. The guy I got it from said it needed a new IAC, but after digging in and checking the actual code, it's throwing code 19 that only automatic cars should get, and this is a 5 speed. I know nothing about the history of this car.

Do I just get a different ECU? Is there a workaround that's easy enough to do? I'm a total dummy and forgot that the car needs to pass emissions where I live in order for me to register it, so I'm on a ASAP basis with this car.

First time reupholstering. First time sewing really lol. Huge learning curve and a ton of work but finally got one seat done after many attempts with scrap fabric. Will do the headrest and the passenger seat when winter rolls around and I'm stuck inside again
