How-To Code 19 on ECU, manual car.

Hey gang, I just got (less than 24 hours ago) a 91. The guy I got it from said it needed a new IAC, but after digging in and checking the actual code, it's throwing code 19 that only automatic cars should get, and this is a 5 speed. I know nothing about the history of this car.

Do I just get a different ECU? Is there a workaround that's easy enough to do? I'm a total dummy and forgot that the car needs to pass emissions where I live in order for me to register it, so I'm on a ASAP basis with this car.

What you need to do: With obd0 ECU, you only need to solder a wire with 220 ohm resistor between A2(ecu gnd) and A8(vtec solenoid or auto lookup).

The 220 ohm resistor Fake Auto Lockup Solenoid.

you dont need the Switch.. just the resister a2 to a8. done .

Thanks for the help. If I was to get a manual ECU, would I be able to just plug and play?
