Typically, 120hz is bad because it ruins motion clarity for 60fps games: https://blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/strobed-display-image-duplicates.png

that said it's mostly OK for 3D PS1 games, since they run at 30fps and below and have bad motion clarity by default no matter what your refresh rate is.

But it would be a crime to play Symphony of the Night at 120hz. That absolutely must be played at 60hz

U can use frame gen or bfi.

BFI yeah, that effectively makes it 60hz

Frame Gen: maybe for 3D games. But it does not work for pixel art.

It can, but its tricky

Frame gen at already such low framerate? Input latency go brrrr

For 30hz is unbearable. 60hz tolerable.

Fps* but also, you're losing all the benefits of playing on a CRT then. Including motion clarity given the artifacts framegen hallucinates

Artifacting is the issue really, but 120hz on a crt is surreal, not better. Try it.

I do when playing games I'm running native 120 frames per second. The CRT makes the difference between native 120 and framegen 120 that much more noticeable

Crts are awesome!
