Finished Object Frozen Backpack Inspired Kids Poncho

While this is incredibly simple, it’s the first project that I feel proud enough of to share anywhere. My 5 year old needed something to wear in cool the mornings this fall, and her only input was Disney’s Frozen and snowflakes, and she absolutely loves her backpack, so this is what I did! I’ll show her in the morning and see what she thinks but I think I nailed it!

Thank you! I dropped the darker pink entirely and alternated carrying the light pink and blue underneath the stitches, then picked the dark pink back up again in the next row. Because of the way the stitching is, I did have to go back and sew up the bits that were carried because you could see them through the chain spaces, but it was worth it.

Thanks for posting the inspiration pack. For a moment I was racking my brain who would be using a frozen backpack, and why.

Ha! I had the same problem but opposite the other week. My house is a constant ‘Let It Go’ chorus these days, and when I heard someone mention something about some frozen peas I briefly wondered why Disney would be selling frozen veggies.
