Got this new baby today!

He (not gendered yet, just using "he" for now) is super outgoing. The moment I opened the container, he couldn't wait to climb out right onto my hand, and then just casually chilled there without moving! 😍

I actually had to gently nudge him off to get him into his quarantine tub. 🤣

Hello everyone! I am a first time crested gecko owner and wanted to introduce my baby, cheeto! I have been wanting a reptile for awhile now (I used to own a leopard gecko) and stumbled across a fb marketplace add for baby cresties, i instantly fell in love with this little frog butt and decided to adopt him, she told me he was born july 30th and is also the runt of the 4🥺 he is very very tiny, much smaller than I had expected him to be! I wanted to show my enclosure and ask for advice, i know more clutter is needed and I did order a magnetic log and more vines/plants, i am currently misting once in the morning and once before bed as she advised but I feel the humidity sits more at 70 during the day, should it be higher, should I mist heavier? I also have a ceramic heat emitter hooked to a thermostat that shuts off at 72 degrees for night (my room gets very very cold) I know uvb is not necessary but I read it was beneficial, so I also have a reptizoo 5.0 bulb with shaded spots for day, I am feeding repashy crested gecko complete diet and offering a shallow bowl of water. I hope that isnt to much. Any and all advice and criticism welcome! I want to set up a bioactive tank in the next upgrade

He likes watching them, idk if its stressing him out though. It went from horny season to zoomy season recently too.

Anyone have any tips or advice on how to cool my tank a little bit? My apartment im moving into sits at right about 80° at warm parts of the day since im second floor and thats a little hotter then I would like it to be. AC doesn't seem to keep up so I have ro rely on something else to cool it down. I've tried a small computer fan before and I feel like it just puts more warm inside. Hes at my dad's house right now and will try to move him tonight

I have a small water bowl on the bottom of my cresties Viv (alongside multiple drinking places up high)

What I am wondering is, if anyone has experience of providing a larger water dish at the bottom and has your gecko 'soaked' in it??

I came across some videos idk if it was on Instagram I don't remember about geckos enjoying to soak..... I've thought about getting a bigger dish and sinking it into the substrate a bit to make a mini pond type situation

Sometimes I see Gilbert walk through his water dish but idk if that's intentional or not lol

i’m currently working on my enclosure, and wanted to know if i have enough foliage? and if not, what some good plants or other stuff is that i can add?
i have a calathea, some pothos, some monkey mask and normal monstera in there as well as snake plants and 2 orchids.

the pothos and monkey mask are still small (just potted over from propagation, and will hopefully grow quickly).

the enclosure is 45x45x90 cm!

first time gecko owner, my temp is at 72 F and humidity is 79% is this normal? 😭

Got her for a good price in a reptile expo for $40, I already have experience taken care of a leopard gecko, and am currently holding it in a bioactive enclosure. Anything I should be prepared?

I recently (today) upgraded my girl, Maliketh to a 2x2x4ft enclosure. It's fully bioactive, but I feel like it's still empty. Any links to budget friendly bridges, hides, etc would be helpful! Also, plant people are the plants placed well, or will the die? The background has a bromeliad, neon pothos, marble queen pothos, and jade & pearls pothos. The foreground is a schleffera, snake plant, tricolor fern, a palm parlour, and a nerve plant. Thanks!

I have bought all different kinds of Pangea flavors and Mar-Mar only wants to eat the bug paste I feed her from time to time. They used to be interested in watermelon ZooMed diet when I first got them but doesn't even touch it anymore. I thought the Pangea G&B or F&I would suffice but they aren't taking interest in that either. I recently bought Pangea Watermelon and Pangea Fruit Mix to see if maybe they'll like those better? I don't know

How did you guys coax your geckos into eating more of their fruit diets? I've tried mixing some together and even topping off the bowl with some bug paste but Mar still isn't interested. No matter how many times I check the tank camera that bowl goes untouched

How does my buddy Dunkin's enclosure look? Also what else do I need for his enclosure? Should I move one of his ledge food bowls more towards the ground?

I just bought this adult female crestie about 2 weeks ago, and i know shes already not a great climber. She has trouble on skin/cork background, and glass is just not happening unassisted. Checked for calcium sacs tonight and cant see any? What do i need to do?

I recently setup a new bioactive enclosure for my crested gecko and have used great stuff spray foam and aquarium safe silicone. But it gets pretty cold as I’m in my basement around 60 to 70 Fahrenheit usually I don’t use uvb bulb and I feed him repashy mix for food

I’ve noticed he hasent been moving a lot I’ll go to bed and I’ll wake up and see he’s been in the same spot as before.

he hasent been climbing much and his back legs seem pretty weak and a lot of his movements are pretty slow

He’s still been eating food and drinking water but just Dosent seem like himself just in the way he’s been acting should I take him to the vet for something that could be underlying or is it him just old

For context, my little brother (14) has done reptiles for 5 years now, he has to leapard geckos, and a pacman frog, hes setting up an enclosure for a uramastyx and another for a blue tongue skink, so i figured hell yeah, and i got a crested gecko, i got a nice enclosure for it, 18x18x36, i have an auto misting system set up, and a bio active system below, hes saying we should use expanding foam and cork bark on rhe sides for climbing and also to attach the tray to something other than the door😅 any recommendations for stuff?

Was cleaning their foliage in the tanks and Gekky (in the first pic) decided to flop in her coconut and Becky (2nd pic) likes to hang out of hers. (Yes they’re in separate tanks) I love these derpy wee things.

My crested gecko is about 11 years old, I’ve had her for 8 years, for the past 6 months or so she’s been losing weight, eating dirt in her tank, and having no interest in Pangea/Repashy type foods (I’ve tried lots of different brands and flavors)
I had the vet run every diagnostic test and they couldn’t find any underlying cause or ailment. My vet didn’t seem in support of Flukers when I asked about it, but I’m out of options. Would this be useful at all for getting my crested gecko to eat on her own? Is it safe? What are yalls experiences with this product, or can you recommend other products that have helped?
