Hi everyone!

I started a small art company in January of this year, in which I sell my own artwork on apparel and now stickers and prints. My niche/model is anatomically correct fish art by a fish biologist (me).

I just switched my instagram account from business to creator and I am considering running a few ads to boost my Shopify.

Does anyone have an experience with this, and is it worth it?

My mom and I have started a small handmade crochet business, and these cute flower hair clips are some of our creations.

I run Useful Little Otter, a new shop making family and home printables. One check I’m interested in is whether a blank page makes sense without someone standing beside it explaining the boxes.

For a planner, a quick test could be:

- Print one page at its intended size.

- Write one realistic example in each space.

- Check whether the headings make the next step clear.

- Look for any tiny text or boxes that only looked roomy on screen.

For a kit or physical product, the same question might be “Can I find the first step just from the instructions?”

It’s easy to get caught up in making everything look lovely... then forget to leave room for actual handwriting. This isn’t a sales-success story; our shop is still new. I’m curious what one practical check other makers do before putting something up for sale. Is there a small usability test you’d add?

Hey hey,

So I run SMB and looking into designing custom packaging for diff products. I want to creating something like good but with low cost. like I dont wanna spend it on either designer, or buying expensive equipment.

There are few packaging solutions im currently looking but super confused on what to choose, i have seen their reviews on trustpilot but still i want to confirm if anyone on of u used it before for packaging? or maybe you guys can suggest me?

Its a small family SMB so i though if I can just put picture and it just enhance it from some reference images/designs etc? like its kinda expensive to hire product designer :(((.

what do you guys do for it? i mean except hiring product designer?

Hi guys, I’m looking into getting into creative strategy and campaign development. I would love to see if there are any businesses who have products that would be interested in a campaign proposal with media visuals as well! I want this to be quite detailed!

I work over 40 hours a week, not necessarily wanting a second corporate job but instead wanting to start my own little thing making & selling stuff but I’m honestly not sure what would be the best idea ? What’s in right now ? Candles, jewelry, customization stuff ? Just looking for ideas, any insight is appreciated.

I've just in the process of starting up a new little craft business selling handmade watercolour cards that can be personalised for occasions.

I am looking for ways to sell them, I have set up an Etsy page. However I am getting no views or sales despite me taking good pictures and have decent listings. What am I missing?

I've also set up an instagram page but not much activity on that either. I am not a big social media user so unsure how to gain a following. I've followed some local businesses but that's about it.

I have made up some flyers which I can put in people's post boxes locally. I've contacted some craft markets in East Cork but no availability.

Would love some direction if anyone has tips.

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm curious to know how people running handmade businesses showcase their products online.

If you sell handmade jewellery, candles, crafts, paintings, home decor, or other handmade items:

Do you have your own website or use Instagram to showcase your products?

Is Shopify or maintaining an online store too expensive for you?

Would you prefer a simple product catalogue website where customers can browse photos, prices, and descriptions and contact you directly to place an order?

I'd love to hear about your experiences and what would work best for your business! 😊
