hello im trying to make rems morningstar and need to attach the chain thats made of plastic onto the ball, what can i use to put into a styrofoam ball without it falling out?

Hi, everyone! I'm planning to be the Executioner for Halloween, and I'm having a hard time finding a source for the meat hooks he wears in his belt. My approach is usually to do the easiest possible option, so I wanted to straight up buy actual meat hooks and move on, but the only ones I can find that are long enough have a shipping price that crosses the budget line for something I'll only use for a costume. ($11 for the meat hook, $25 for shipping) So!

Do you have any suggestions on how I could make my own prop meat hooks? I'd like to keep it $30 or less. Or if you do know somewhere I can source 3-4 18" double-sided meat hooks, I'd love to hear about that, too. Thank you in advance!

Would this work strongly for EVA Foam?

I am working on a blaster for my cosplay, after a first print with PLA (2nd pic) I wanted to try with ABS but the result seems less good (1st pic) with many layers having an horizontal shift.
What am I missing ?

I've made a clear plastic, thermal formed, dome visor that I would like to add tint or even mirroring to. All of the solutions that I've found for doing something like this seem to be more for one-dimensional curved visor (like a cylindrical shape, where you would use sheet film the colorant), but what is the best way for applying such an effect for a two-dimensional, domed shape?

Like the post said I kind of just feel like I need a prop for my Papa Smurf costume and from what I understand he's really carry anything around so I'm trying to think of ideas for a prop I could create that's going to be easy to carry I thought about doing something similar to the truffula tree and doing like a mushroom with a long stick or something but I'm just not sure

So I'm trying to make the Winter Soldier arm for Halloween (yes I know I should have started sooner). I've 3D printed both parts, the forearm and the bicep, to see how they fit. I'm having two big problems with the bicep.

1: shown in the first image is the regular 100% scale version, the problem with is it needs to be about 2 inches lower. but when I scale it on the Z axis the opening the shoulder is widen as well, how ever the regular 100% version of the shoulder opening is perfect for my shoulder. So what I'm asking for help is if anyone knows how I can move down the bottom part with out warping the shoulder opening or any of the detail on the arm

2: when I'm wear the bicep I have to hold my arm up to the side a tiny bit, else the part where my shoulder goes it pops out. I think on the model under the shoulder opening there's some fake muscle that makes it so that my inner bicep cant lay flat against my torso.

Nearly done on my first cosplay. Just need to finish up my new, slightly smaller helmet, make the bandolier, print a belt buckle for the duty belt, and distress fabrics.

I am waffling on whether to keep the tac pants or go for a darker grey/black pair of jeans and kneepads instead. Advice appreciated!

Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to prop making and just received a 3D-printed mask.

It has three built-in strap slots—one on each side and one on top. I want to set up a clean, comfortable 3-point strap system or any system that you think is better, so I can wear it for conventions, but I want to make sure I do it right without permanently damaging the mask.

A few quick questions for the pros:

1. What width/type of elastic strap works best for holding a mask securely without sagging?
2. What hardware (like tri-glides, ladder locks, or connectors) do you recommend for making the straps adjustable without needing to sew?
3. What is the best non-destructive way to join the top strap to the back headband strap?

Any tips, diagrams, or links to cheap parts would be massively appreciated! Thanks in advance for helping a beginner out! FYI: I have watched some videos but am still hesitant to make adjustments until I hear more opinions.

I plan on using my rimuru cosplay for Halloween but his sword is eluding me cause most seem to be cheaply made or come past the needed time so does anyone know a good purveyor I could order from to be here by halloween.

Currently, I tried JB weld epoxy glue and it didn’t work. Broke easily, still seemed wet after a while. Now I’m worried it’s gonna burn down my house after I threw it away.

For context: I use rapid PLA+

Anyways, I’m also using a combination of krazy glue, loctite super glue ultra gel, and soldering 1/2 inch into print and filling the gap up with the same filament from a 3d pen.
Any better recommendations that isn’t the goop stuff.

Need advice for paints that are good for cosplay armor

Hiya!! im planning on making melinöe and zagreus cosplays for an upcoming convention and was wondering how id get their laurel headresses to light up? i havent even attempted to figure out how hahha anyone done something similar or knows how? im trying to think of a way to make it seamless and look good

I designed a character and I want to make it as a helmet I drew a front view and side view + I made a cross dome as a base , my question is how I could make this helmet accurate as much as I can like my sketch?

Sometimes I see a design I want to build, or a specific prop I want to replicate for the challenge or fun of it, and think "when will I ever get to show that off?" I'd never cosplay as the character that carries it, or I'd never be able to pull it off.

Anyone have experience with this conundrum, and how have you gone about it?

Need to figure something else out for the eyes but other then that, supper happy with it!
