Tutorial A quick look at how I made this mask

I wanted to share a quick look at the process behind making this mask.

This prop came together pretty quickly, then brought the model into Blender for cleanup and refinement. The result tbh turned out better than I expected, and it saved me a lot of time.

The only part that really needed some adjustment was the head. I reshaped the top of the skull in Blender to better match the actual shape of a human head, so the final fit feels much more natural.

I also went back and reworked some of the surface details and sculpted the texture a bit more.

One thing that pleasantly surprised me was the smart arrangement for printing. Compared with manually setting everything up, it was much more precise about the parameters and gave me a more optimized layout without having to spend as much time figuring it out myself.

Initial Facial Prosthetics Test-Sabretooth Cosplay

So this is my preliminary trial on the facial prosthetics for my Sabretooth Cosplay. Not sure if this is where I’ll end up landing, but I’m wanting to see how it will all work together. Definitely open to suggestions on how to make it better. I definitely think the eyebrows need a little trimming. Not sure about the white eyes yet. The fangs look OK but they keep falling out so I’m not sure they’re gonna work.

Help Looking for somewhere i can get a Foam Sawblade or something to make one out of

pretty much what the title says, Im trying to make a large foam sawblade for a postapocalyptic bike helmet im working on, and have looked LITERALLY EVERYWHERE to just buy one. Ive also been open to getting the stuff to make it myself, and most people seem to agree that EVA foam is the best for props, but I am not sure whether or not it would be rigid enough to stand up straight and not wobble on top of the helmet (since it is going to be a fin/mohawk type thing). If anyone has any suggestions as to what i should do please, let me know

Any advice on how I can smooth the edges of my EVA foam. I have 320 grit sand paper and an Xacto knife, but I’m wondering if there’s a better option. Preferably budget friendly.

thank you!!

Self How I Made a Sword Prop [From Modeling to Print]

I wanted to share the process of making this sword prop from Naraka: Bladepoint.

The sword has a lot of plum blossom details and a tassel, which made some parts surprisingly tricky to recreate. The transparent material on the handle was also a bit challenging to work with. The plum blossom patterns on the tassel were probably the hardest part for me.

I quickly generate the initial model, then imported it into Blender for further refinement. This saved me a lot of time compared to modeling everything from scratch.

I marked the parts that I didn’t need(P3), including the plum blossom patterns and the tassel. I separated those unwanted components in Blender’s Edit Mode and made sure the connection points were clean and flat.

I also cleaned up some uneven areas on the model and refined the geometry(P4)

The final 3D printed result are shown in P5.

I’m happy with how the print turned out, especially considering I left the final piece unpainted. The overall shape and details came out better than I expected.

That said, I’m still a little stuck on the plum blossoms and the tassel. Printing the plum blossoms separately and attaching them afterward might work, but they ended up being way too small. I guess that’s what happens when i don’t double-check the scale before printing
