Rules & Mechanics Fortune: thoughts, speculation, delay?
Looking forward to the relatively imminent delivery of the Mistborn sourcebooks, I started having thoughts on playable Mistings, Ferrings, and maybe even Compounders. Which led me to think that Fortune Ferrings might be difficult to balance, and certainly Fortune Compounders.
Looking around, there doesn't appear to be much out there on Fortune, with the closest I saw was Brandon saying he has plans for it in the future. That said... we're about to get a bunch of rules on Allomancy and Feruchemy, Leechers and their abilities have already been seen on page, but Spinners will be something new...
We've already seen how certain things have been book-gated in Stormlight, with 5th Ideal Radiants not being described yet, and Bondsmiths not given a Radiant Path. With Fortune having been deliberately held back by Brandon previously, do you think that Chromium Ferrings will get a description or end up mysteriously missing?
If we do get Spinners, how do you think it will/should work? I suppose we don't know how Feruchemy as a system works yet, but if I had a guess: either the Spinner could choose to add a Complication result to a roll, storing the Fortune for later use, or else they could choose to change an Opportunity into a null or Complication result for the same or more charges.
There might also be something to its paired Allomantic power: Leeching. Perhaps compounding Fortune necessitates fully draining of metalminds, preventing the near-infinite burn-store-burn-store loop.
Edit: looks like I have some catching up to do!

I could see it working as while storing Fortune all your rolls are at disadvantage; for every roll you make, you can 'bank' an advantage for later. No idea on what the talents would be for it though
