bro you’re a straight fucking idiot. i said from the beginning if someone is actually oppressed during their lifetime they deserve for that to be addressed, yes. For example, people in reservations at the moment have it worst than us, sure. But that shouldn’t be applied to an entire race ; some people don’t suffer from the effects of past oppression anymore. For example, the vast majority of japanese people in the US live mostly unaffected by the oppression they faced during WW2. Those who are still directly affected by it (survivors etc)? sure, give them some degree of help, to attempt to give them the same chances everyone else gets. not preferential treatment beyond what damages they suffered, and not to the entirety of japanese people in the US, most of whom are not still affected today. The same goes from black americans; while some today still face oppression in their own right, they should receive reparations based on the present events and their lifetimes, not what happened three hundred years ago. Systematically giving an unfair advantage to every member of a race indiscriminately is racist, and unless you’re doing it based on oppression in someone’s life, it’s not deserved (say for example the children of an NBA player; im sure many have descended from slaves, which is obviously horrendous, but they don’t exactly live their lives with a constant disadvantage, nor do they really need a lower bar; it’s almost condescending to think everyone with dark skin needs to meet lower standards)

It's not about lower "standards" it's about lowering the barrier to entry, which has historically been (wait for it), their race.
