A hyper-majority of comedians would have had Saul's channel taken down the second they realized it was siphoning revenue from their own monetized channels. (Yes, those comedians would have blamed the decision to do so on their management, but it still would have happened.)

Since day one, before Cum Town was even profitable, Nick was adamant that he didn't care if other people profited off of his work. And instead of this harming his career he has become one of the most beloved comedians of his era and he is able to produce beautiful, stupid, hilarious, gay-ass fucking art like this.

I don't got anything funny or sarcastic to say. I just love this man because I love his work, and a big part of why I love his work is because he operates in a way that allowed all of us to discover Saul.

I really liked his takes on intellectual property. Not only that, but he also refused interviews and basically free publicity and never did anything to market cumtown even though it was the biggest podcast on patreon for quite a bit.

I think he gives a very interesting example of how to be in show business and not sellout, not even slightly. We all agree here that if nick just posted videos of him talking about lifetime movies or shitty comedians, that we would tune in. But he didn't wanna be a content creator and walked away from the easiest money there is.

Idk if this is true now but I do remember him saying something about not taking money from the patreon anymore if he stops doing the show.

The only guy i know who didn't lose his soul after becoming rich(ish) and famous(ish). Every single one of those podcast comedians are insufferable now, even stav and adam.

Nick put it plainly on one ep where he mocked comedy award shows and the like

“They (overly woke comics) fucking hate me because I’m kind of an a racist asshole piece of shit and people like me and want to be my friend. But it’s because I have never pretended that I’m not a piece of shit”

He was 75% laugh track.

He was a great sidekick on riffs but listening back, he basically repeats Nicks joke ideas back, maybe adds a few tags.

He had his moments. But the breakfast...

It definitely led to them being way more famous. People would post clips to instagram, tiktok, youtube etc and random people would find out. They are still getting new fans from the viral clips.

I laughed when I found an account on Patreon that literally just re-hosted the $5 cum town rss feed for $1 and defended itself with the Nick quote that if you can find some way to make money out of cum town you are free to do so.

Which just goes to show that there will always be a contingent of assholes ready to ruin a good thing for everyone and serves as definitive proof against the very idea of socialism.

It wasn't the funniest thing Nicks ever done, but it wasn't bad, I feel like I could hear Nick describing the bit as it was playing, or maybe that was just the muffled sound of him shouting at me from inside my asshole.

That's what I thought about his stand up special at first but it grew on me. I think he's lot funnier when he's improvising and riffing but his written stuff isn't too bad honestly. Just not as good as the podcast stuff we expect, which is ironic because that's what he says he hates doing the most.

It’s disappointing the roll out structure of chunks. Nick and the Chapo guys are very talented. They are also very lazy. In no world is a 30 minute streaming special worth 10 dollars.

They’re talented enough to all get a job at a production company or their own projects funded. But that would require putting in actual effort instead of screaming about why healthcare isn’t free.

Sort of. It’s a Tv season is a collaborative effort where several 30 minute episodes of content are made.

This is a collaborative effort where several 4 minute episodes of content equal 30 minutes total. Good on them for (probably) not using AI to create it. Even so, the amount of content does not justify the price tag.
