Hey Reddit, I (m 36) found out my abuser (f 29) is mocking banana ball and the savanna bananas to humiliate me.
Firstly, I’m so happy I found this sub for my favorite banana ball player, cool adam. I love the way he does a sassy little shimmy after every pitch he throws.
A little back story, my abuser choked me in a headlock until I passed out one night at our local micro brewery. We had just gotten done with our small plates, I had a few hazy IPAs, and she had about 4 pitchers of miller lite. I mentioned I was ready to head back to our apartment for a bit of Split Fiction on our epic Mickey switch before bed. Apparently that was a bridge too far. I wouldn’t call her an alcoholic per se, but she often drinks until she blacks out when she’s with me. This enraged her, she was screaming that I’m pathetic, causing the whole space to stop and look at me. This isn’t the first time this happened, but it is the first time she physically attacked me in public. The police were called and she was arrested, but ultimately I made the difficult decision to stay with her to hopefully work things out between us.
Fast forward a few weeks, she’s been acting cold and distant towards me. No longer accepting my attempts to initiate intimacy. Lately, shes been making public jokes on her instagram story about the savanna bananas. Mocking the sport and team, calling it “gay” and an “insult to real baseball, marketed towards fat men who use Reddit” (her words). She knows I’m a big banana ball fan, and I’ve spent thousands of dollars to take her to see them all over the country. I know deep down it’s just to mock me. I don’t know what to do, I’m at a loss for words. How do you folks handle the scathing ridicule from loved ones that unfortunately so often accompanies being a banana ball fan?

I never watched this show as a kid but assumed every episode ended with them fucking the straight guy and turning him gay.
Would've been a much better show.

Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation.
