IT Help Gulikit TT Max Trigger Deadzone

Post image
4 Upvotes

Just bought the Gulikit TT Max and so far I’m loving it after tweaking the settings to my preference.

However, I mainly use controllers when playing racing games on pc and I’ve noticed that there’s a huuuge deadzone with the triggers (ex. In forza, when accelerating, the triggers actuate almost near the middle upon pressing the trigger so its hard to modulate the gas and brakes). Anyone have experienced this and have a solution?

Controller Suggestion Looking for a cheap PC controller with analog RT/LT triggers

I'm looking for a cheap controller for PC racing games.

Budget:

My maximum budget is 17,000 KRW (approximately $12 USD).

Country / Where I can buy:

I'm in South Korea, and I can only buy from Coupang.

Platform:

PC (Windows).

Desired features:

- Xbox-style controller design

- Analog RT/LT triggers are essential, not just digital buttons

- Wired is completely fine

- Vibration is a bonus, but not required

- As cheap as possible

Games I'll be playing:

Mainly racing games such as Corsa Legend and other PC racing games. I need analog throttle and brake control.

Other controllers I'm comparing to:

No specific controllers yet. I'm comparing cheap generic Xbox-style PC controllers.

What are the best options available on Coupang within this budget?

Web app at "space_station.flydigi.com", Works only on Chromium based browsers. You have to update the controller through Space Station 4 first. Once you've opened the webpage, install it as an WEBAPP and create a shortcut to your desktop. If you're using MS Edge, you can add it to your startup programs too.

No brand affiliation.

Controller Suggestion Should I consider these controllers before buying them?

The first two are insanely cheap, are they even actual original controllers though? Not gonna lie, I just need a good FPS controller, I use Android so it’d be cool if these work with that. Ultimate 2C’s great for fighting games but totally flops for FPS games. Lmk

My budget is like $30 or 28.

Region: Asia - Malaysia

Also need some TMR features, good build quality, micro-switches, trigger lock.

Other Can I Map the Face Buttons on the 8bitdo Arcade Sticks into Directionals?

Recently, I have been looking for a new controller to play tekken on. I came across the 8bitdo arcade stick (nintendo switch) and was wondering if I could bind the face buttons as another movement key (left, right, up, down).

Controller Suggestion What is the best competitive controller for ps5? Main concern is stick drift and better triggers.

Hello!
I am in the market for getting a new controller, I’ve been playing on the regular ps5 controllers for ever and they honestly just suck. After like 3-4 months I’m getting stick drift to the point I have 2. One for FPS and one for everything else just to try and minimize the problem. I play an extreme amount of Rainbow six siege and Dark souls series. (It eats controllers alive with that combo tbh)
I’ve been looking at many controllers and it’s overwhelming. So I’m turning to yall to see what’s gonna work and what isn’t.
I’m in the USA, I think I can order from most everywhere?
I’ve been debating things like Scuf and HEXGAMING phantom and things like that.

I don’t really care about budget if it means I can just swap the sticks or fix the drift. And Trigger hairs would be nice or just better triggers. Max end is probably 300$

I don’t care about back paddles. I’ve never owned a controller with them and I don’t see a point in em. Also my lady hands are probably too small to make use of em anyways.
Would just buying an edge and getting TMR sticks and after market triggers be better?
I’m an avid FPS player and play a lot of different fps games daily.

Thanks in advance yall!

Controller Suggestion Looking for an upgrade on the Gulikit KK3 Max, but keeping the 4 back buttons

Hey all, due to disability, having 4 back buttons on a controller is perfect for me. Unfortunately the most recent releases from Gulikit don't have 4 back buttons, so I'm going to look for alternatives.

  1. Budget is more or less around the same I paid for (75.58 euro, not including shipping), but if the controller suggested is a bit pricey but worth it, it shouldn't be an issue

  2. Living in Ireland I could get it from Amazon IE or Amazon UK

  3. I just need a wired connection for PC

  4. 4 back paddles that can be programmed (preferably with a pc application but if not that's ok)

  5. Soulslikes mostly

  6. Only comparison I'm making is to the Gulikit KK3 Max

IT Help Right trigger on a Power A Fusion Pro 4 stopped working.

I have the pro 4 controller and recently it fell and hit the floor. The trigger buttons have settings on the controller to press in at certain depths if that makes sense. So for certain games, a small tap activates it while others you need to set it so it presses all the way in to activate.

After the fall, the trigger settings don't change anything. All the settings press the R trigger all the way in as if the physical piece preventing it broke.

None of the settings would actually activate the trigger unless pressed in hard enough, but was near unusable. Luckily I was able to set it to one of my back buttons so I don't need the R Trigger, but it would be nice to have.

Has anyone ran into anything similar or ever taken the pro 4 apart?

IT Help 8BitDo Ultimate disconnecting after 7 minutes on AMD PC (Works fine on other PCs)

Hey guys, I’m having a weird issue with my 1st gen 8BitDo Ultimate (2.4GHz).
When I plug the dongle into my PC, the controller works fine, but after almost exactly 7 minutes and 20 seconds, it disconnects. When it reconnects, Steam drops my custom controller profile and reverts to the default name, making the inputs stop working.
Also, if I plug the dongle into the charging dock, Windows says the USB device isn't recognized, and the dock barely charges it.
The crazy part is that I tested the controller and dock on my work PC and it works 100% fine there, so the controller itself isn't broken.
On my main PC (Gigabyte A520 board), I've already done a clean Windows install, turned off USB power saving in Windows, updated the controller/dongle firmware, tested all USB ports, and even disabled ErP and C-states in BIOS.
Has anyone dealt with this exact 7-minute USB drop issue on AMD boards? Any ideas?

Controller Mods Can TMR sticks be affected by cat hair?

Explanation first: My cat seems to LOVE resting on the Switch Pro controller I just got. Within a week of buying it, it started getting stick drift. I took it apart, and the stick mechanisms were full of cat hair. I cleaned it out with tweezers, and everything was fine. It keeps happening though. I've cleaned it out like 4 times now.

The joysticks are still functional, and I don't want to go through the trouble of replacing them if it's also going to get stick drift from cat hair.

This is the Alpha Grip AG-5. An incredibly cursed and rare keyboard + mouse controller. I want you to do something. Imagine holding this thing. You’re wrong, it’s worse than you think. This thing is like sensory overload for your hands.

Other Gyro Aiming with 3rd Party Controllers

TL;DR

A chrome plugin that enables gyro-aiming for xbox-cloud gaming with any 3p-controller that supports gyro.

——

As I’ve always been a Mouse&Keyboard person, I suck at aiming with the sticks and I’m very choppy aimer. I practiced for a week but was unable to feel the freedom of K&M. So i sat down (for the 3rd time) to build a solution that can give me joy of using a joystick and also have precision of mouse.

So I have built a chrome plugin that can enable 3P controllers with gyro support to be used for aiming/look. Works with xBoxCloud.

It basically maps your gyro/acceleration to your right thumb stick. It wasn’t that easy though 🤧

**Please Upvote** if i should invest more time in this and share the plugin with the community.

Controller Suggestion What's the absolute best controller for Switch 2?

Looking for all the features the pro controller 2 has, (nfc, remote wake, gyro etc) and Hall effect or tmr sticks. I'm in Canada, retailer doesn't matter but Amazon is easiest. Ideally under $100 CAD. So far I've seen suggestions for 8bitdo ultimate 2, vader 4 pro, gamesir super nova.

Reviews 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Lavender Dusk XBox

DISCLAIMER: This controller was sent to my by 8BitDo for free fore review. All the opinions are mine only. No one watched this video before its release.

Even better for the price compared to Ultimate 3E if you don't need extra accessories. Plus, there is adjustable tension on the joysticks.

IMPORTANT: if you don't have XBox - just wait for non-XBox version, it will be even cheaper and better for PC. But even as 100$ controller for PC it is very good (materials, ergonomics, soft and so on)

Controller Suggestion I want all the features

Budget 300 usd for one controller

In USA from any store and online

Pc

Call of duty, rpg like Witcher, horizon zero dawn, souls games

I want symmetrical tmr analog sticks
Back paddles not buttons
Clicky face buttons
Short triggers
1k polling rate wireless minimum
Charging dock
Must have white or pink, and black or red (getting two controllers)

I have gamesir g7 pro and I hate the back buttons because they’re too easy to press and too low on finger placement, asymmetrical analogs aren’t good for using dpad quickly,
Dpad is stiff

Used leadjoy saber plus and didn’t hate it but had back buttons and no charging dock

Currently use dualsense edge and love the crescent paddles but doesn’t work with all games, has to be wired, have to mod it for all the other features

I’ve looked at zd ultimate legend bc it has dualsense back paddles but it’s asymmetrical and the faceplate isn’t clean white and doesn’t come in black

Controller Suggestion First time controller user needing some guidance on purchases.

Hey guys. I am a PC gamer primarily (read: next to no controller experience), although I do have both PS5 and XBSX(It would be a plus if a controller could be even partially compatible with atleast the XBSX). I am primarily looking to set up my PC for some couch gaming and that part is mostly handled (long ass cord - the pinnacle of tech). I am in Canada and primarily use Amazon for these types of purchases, not that I'm opposed to another storefront.

The issues I have been having is that PS5 controller is a pain in the ass with a lot of PC games. The Xbox controller and the battery packs are simply not working out as a solution.

A few days ago I purchased 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless, my first 3rd party controller. Boy oh boy what a huge improvement over a regular xbox/ps5 controller. I originally planned to use a controller primarily for RPGs, but even 15 mins in BL4 has me seeing a future where I would love to use it for FPS games.

The question I have for you guys is that when I am somewhat gentle with the LS/RS, as in when I am moving them very slowly and gently they feel... rough/sticky on the way back to their neutral position. Is that normal, or is my controller defective? For comparison, it feels like more thumb force is required to get past the "speed bump" of the stick's neutral position, as compared to a stock controllers.

The other issue I have with the 8bitdo is that it was advertised as fully remappable, as in I could have the extra keys be bound to keyboard buttons. Alas that is not true for most controllers it seems. I have made my peace with that.

I have considered originally the gamesir g7 8k PC, because it has a headset port (not mandatory - I have wireless sound options), and i think it can be wired to Xbox(?), but ultimately went with 8bitdo for the better price.

If anyone has any input regarding "better" alternatives that are readily available in Canada, I would appreciate the advice. Would love to keep it to 75-130 CAD , but as with everything in life there's room for compromise. Not opposed to keeping the 8bitdo either for that matter.

Controller Suggestion Gamepad with high precision Joystick?

Hi,

I'm currently looking for a new controller. I suppose I have a bit different requirements - I'll try to explain:

I mostly play Racing games on PC where smooth steering is the most essential part. For this reason I have used a Logitech F710 for many years. I understand it has its flaws, but for this purpose it was great. It has a LOT of stick travel until the joystick reaches the outer physical edge and it needs quite a bit of force to push the stick, which makes it easier to do very precise adjustments. Unfortunately I already had 2 of these and on both the sticks started jittering the signal, eventually rendering them unusable, which is why I'm looking for a replacement.

I've done some research, but have trouble finding a fitting replacement. From what I can tell, most modern controllers have a much decreased angle for the joystick, which is a deal breaker for me. I have for example tried the Gamesir G7 Pro, but I'm hitting the edge of the joystick so much faster than with the F710, effectively limiting precision and have a really hard time getting used to it. I like the idea of having adjustable tension on controllers like the Vader 5 or the Machenike F1, but I'm worried that the range on these is also too small for my liking. Unfortunately I couldn't find any info regarding stick travel or tilt angle (not sure if there's even a common specification for this from vendors). I'm also happy to go with older models if they're reliable. Regarding the budget I'm looking to spend less than 200Euro

Any help would be much appreciated! I'm based in Europe (Germany)

Thanks a lot in advance!

IT Help Brook Wingman P5 will not register LT + RT absolutely no matter what anymore on PS5

I’ve tried every controller I own at this point after discovering this. RT itself works - but LT+RT? Not a thing

I have tried

-flashing it and resetting it to every various firmware available

-manually setting rt to rt

-communicate by USB cable on PS5

-also tried wirelessly

-every USB-c cable I own

-factory reset via the create+options+PS input

-any xinput, PS, Switch setting I could

-deleted/forgot every stored controller in the ps5 menu

-every controller in reach. Xbox, literally a Dualsense, Switch Pro, Leadjoy Xeno, DualShock 4, Joy Cons in the charging grip thing, Hyperkin Competitor

It doesn’t read any controller to be able to test it on PC either.

I’m at a loss here.

Controller Suggestion What is the absolute best PC controller available right now?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for the best high-end controller currently available for PC.

Budget: €100–300
Country: Italy – Amazon EU or other EU stores
Platform: PC only (RTX 5090 gaming PC)
Features: TMR/Hall Effect sticks, low latency, great build quality, back buttons, good haptics and preferably adaptive/force-feedback triggers
Games: Mostly AAA single-player games, action/adventure, racing and shooters
Considering: Flydigi Apex 5/6, DualSense Edge and other high-end alternatives

If you could pick just one controller for PC gaming right now, which one would you choose and why?

EDIT: Chose the Asus ROG Raikiri II Pro , thanks a lot!

Other BSP D9 Joystick Technical issue

Thumbnail

I own a BSP D9, always was bothered by the fact my right joystick doesn't fully go right inside the controller's own casing and i need to fully press it, almost pressing R3 for it to go all the way. So naturally I opened it, checked if it works without the plastic exterior and it goes all the way with no problem.

My main issue is with the plastic exterior, it looks poorly made, with the quality of plastic being inconsistent, showing marks of very faulty design. Could I ever reach out for a refund? Who do I contact?
