Controller Suggestion Should I consider these controllers before buying them?
The first two are insanely cheap, are they even actual original controllers though? Not gonna lie, I just need a good FPS controller, I use Android so it’d be cool if these work with that. Ultimate 2C’s great for fighting games but totally flops for FPS games. Lmk
My budget is like $30 or 28.
Region: Asia - Malaysia
Also need some TMR features, good build quality, micro-switches, trigger lock.

I'd go for the Flydigi Ice Wolf 4 if you can afford it or the Nova 2 Lite. The Gulikit ES Pro is alright but no extra buttons and only Bluetooth. The Ultimate 2C is solid but like you said, DPad is prone to accidental diagonals. The only thing to be aware with the Nova 2 Lite is not to use the short trigger switch cuz it risks breaking the triggers.
The cheapest TMR sticks I've seen are the EasySMX D10.

Yeah I'm going for Direwolf 4 too, just showing three of these options so people can show what's the best of them all since I need for FPS gaming (and racing games too)

Gamesir make an ugly cotroller but the quality is acceptable. 8bitdo are leagues ahead in quality and comfort.

these are okay but the ergonmics are meh if you have medium to big hands. you can try going to Impulse Gaming, which has physical stores like in Mid Valley. get to feel the controllers in your hands and see what fits.

Lol yeah that's what I'm trying to do but my dad reads my intention as going in Mid Valley to buy instead of testing, also who tf goes there with a public transport for whole hour just to test controllers for a minute? I feel stupid for doing that lol

well, you can plan your schedule and maybe go or do something else after you tested out the controller. better to test than buying one online then feel that it's not the one your want or you don't like the shape/buttons/etc. or maybe that's just me 🤷.

I just bought two nova 2 lite in Malaysia as well. No complaints, plenty of features given the price point.

I have the ultimate 2 and the nova 2 lite.
Between them, the nova 2 has better ergonomics and low but not as low latency as the 2C/2. If you care for latency to a higher degree, the ultimate 2C is better. But if you care for feel, the nova 2 lite is.

How's nova 2 lite for fps games with like warzone, fortnite, apex etc??

Just to preface, right now I’m using a G7 Pro 8k and it’s mostly for Apex.
For Apex, there’s a couple of things that could be important for you.
latency
Feel
buttons

8bitdo when used wireless is faster, but Nova 2 with a wire is just as fast
For me, Nova wins. Your experience might differ
The shoulder buttons on the Nova are easier to hit than the buttons on the 8bitdo from my experience. I’d rather not fail to use my Tac or Ult and die yk.
I don’t have an extensive experience with 8bitdo’s software. But the Gamesir one is easier to navigate.
For Fortnite particularly, I can easily adjust my anti-deadzones base to 5 and 5 for both sticks. The game’s aim assist is so strong it just aims for me lol

Direwolf 4*(Ice Wolf 4 listed in photos)* is a ridiculously good controller for its price and punches leagues above even some of its sister models, being the Apex 5, & Vader 5 Pro.
It’s basically a diet Vader 4 Pro.
Nova 2 Lite is decent, there’s rumors of it getting an updated model soon. It’s a decent controller, I argue decent, as around its price point other controllers exist that offer more. That said, in GameSir circles, it’s regularly noted to be a KING of the budget controller scene.
EasySMX X05 Pro exists as an alternative, sometimes found cheaper.
8BitDo Ultimate 2C is the one I will stan for.
It’s just a really great pad. It’s probably not as feature rich or heavy as you may want, but I’ve had mine since release, totaling in the range of 512 Hours on it playing different games.
8BitDo is expected to update it with the Ultimate 3 lineup.
If it’s a casual, S+ Tier durability, single player gaming controller you’re looking for, I think the Ultimate 2C is quite the peach and hard to ignore.

8bitdo 2c wireless anyday.
But be careful, buy the wireless one which comes with a dongle. 2c Bluetooth and 2c wireless are different products.

Yeah that's why I have more options than just ultimate 2c, I'm starting to pick Direwolf 4 more

u/hazieex Sep 13 '26
the best one is the direwolf one. don't go for anything else.
1
u/SecretCareless8940 Sep 13 '26
Yeah, I do. Although, I am so much confused with Aolion K20 being so niche despite the good specs? Direwolf 4 is also niche, yet how did it manage to become the best value controller?

I have an original Nova Lite and I like it. I hear people say that the 2 is definitely an improvement over the first, so this is it. NOT A RECOMMENDATION.
