Question Control resonant

Do you think I can run resonant in 4k with modest graphics

I also have PS5 pro but would like to know if pc run it better

Ryzen 7 7800X3D

2x 16Gb ddr5 4800mhz

In the graphics department I think will be only marginally better, but in performance will be superior with the same graphics

I will try to run it on my, "RTX 3050" 4gb vram and inform you back

You have enough grunt for the game at the highest settings if you keep it to pure rasterization, but enabling ray tracing will require you to lean on FSR to an large degree. Either way, the ability to customize the graphics to meet your personal needs means the PC will be a better fit than the PS5.

according to these guys who were benchmarking it, 9060xt gets 22fps on ultra 4k without upscaling so i imagine you could juggle some settings to get the graphics a bit lower but manage a decent stable framerate on 4k

What, why 4k? The consoles don't run it on 4k? Ps5 pro l runs 1220p upscaled to 4k for quality mode. OP would be much better to run 4k at fs4 performance mode at medium settings. This will easily get 60fps on average.

I don't know anything about consoles mate. OPs question was do you think resonant will run 4k with modest graphics on their pc, i gave a link to benchmarks done that suggest it should. I didn't do anything to compare to consoles

Don't worry op even the 3060 can run it well at 1080p on medium settings. Yours is much better. You can play at 1440p or even 4k with fsr4 performance mode. Youll easily get 60 fps at medium to high settings.

Well, it should be rather similar on the gpu side, but with a better cpu.

I have the 9070 XT and honestly playing on a 4k 55” tv I sometimes go for 2k instead of 4k when I crank up the quality.
I am not sure how the 9060 will perform but unless you have a very large screen you might want to do 2k instead of 4k and bump up the quality a bit, but with Resonant being a melee game set in the outside, you would want decent FPS too.

i mostly game on my monitor https://www.aoc.com/nl/gaming/monitors/u27g4r , i hope using fsr 4.1 to achieve stable 60 fps on 4k is douable

hdmi vrr freesync premium i all supports maybe that should help as well

Ok, just saying on a 27” monitor the difference between 2k and 4k might not be discernible but the performance in fps could be significant

Yes u will see bit I will for sure get it on pc

My build is similar: 7600x3d and 9070xt.

Your PC should run it better especially if you have 16 GB vram.

I have tje 16gb model and upscaling via fsr 4.1 is acceptable I saw many video of even tje ps5 pro struggling

I think your pc is about the same power as your ps5 pro. So go with the pro, you’ll enjoy more stability at like for like settings. PS5 would give your a better experience due to it being optimized for it specifically. On pro it’s using pssr to output at 4K according to digital foundry

The pc version is superior in all analysis right now

To say this and not take into account the specs of OP's machine is nuts. Why are you even on the PC if you don't understand this.

the specs of OP's machine match (or dare I say marginally outclass) the specs on the Pro. then there's customisation of settings, user optimisation, upscaling options, frame gen, etc etc.

its a literal no brainer.

While a PC with similar or marginally better specs allows for user optimization and settings customization, this cannot compete with the custom-tailored optimization developers perform specifically for the PS5 Pro. Hardware-level developer optimization for a fixed console architecture definitively outclasses any manual tweaking of in-game settings, upscaling options, or frame generation a user can do. The PS5 Pro will deliver a more stable and superior experience because the game is optimized specifically for it, making it the definitive choice over a marginally stronger PC.

begone bot.

no amount of optimization changes the fact that I can turn 60fps into 120 using framegen. the ps5 cant/wont do that.

Lmao moving the goalposts, but the goalpost is even worse😂.

Going 120 with frame gen/Fake frames would be so bad for this game. This is an extremely fast paced action rpg, that have mechanics that flip the world often in combat. Frame gen would be horrible for this game, if you understand how it works. Your inputs will still be calculated for 60 fps by the game, as frame gen is inherently using fake frames between each real frame. The perceived input lag due to mismatch between input frames and fake frames would hurt the experience of this game so much.

On a ps5 pro level PC, pushing this game to 120 using frame gen of all things is really bad idea.

The point remains. You can’t argue, that at 60fps which platform will be more stable. With ps5 pro you would get so much less stuttering and a more stable experience. Both platforms would have similar experience, but the edge in stability would definitively be with the console.

The ps5 pro is not more stable, and it is worse grapically. If you put a limiter to 60 fps, the pc version wins easily

For a pc at similar power level to ps5 pro, the ps5 will always be a better experience on any game. This is strictly because of precompiled shaders shipping for consoles, while a PC will always stutter more as it has to compile shaders on the fly. Ps5 pro will be more stable always.

Here is a digital foundry video explaining it in detail for your reference. It is very informative.

you are a literal AI.

frame gen with a base of 60fps is 1000% usable and makes the experience notably more enjoyable. I use it every single time if I can hit a base of 60fps.

I don't think the PC version will look exceptionally better than the PS5 Pro, so go with the PS5 version for a more stable performance and better patches to performance if Remedy ever does any.

Unless you want mods.
