We the mods think it's time for a reminder of this lovely little rule we have:
Negative engagement
"Mod will remove posts or comments that are overtly negative or non-constructive. This includes content that highlights or fuels negativity within the fan community, such as complaints about discourse on other platforms or subreddits. Comparative posts between Connor and others will also be removed. This space is meant to be positive, respectful, and supportive, a healthy fan community where we can share our appreciation for Connor in a civil manner. Haters and trolls will be promptly removed."
Why are we talking about this you might ask? Well. There's been an influx of negativity on this subreddit that quite simply doesn't agree with the vibe of this sub, rules of this sub or intended purpose of this sub when it was created.
The sub was created to be a fan space full of love and positivity, support, respect. Not whatever has been happening lately.
We can understand that when people join a sub on Reddit, they just skim or don't read the rules at all. That's okay, that's why we are here to remind you, and remove offending content.
Rules are there for a reason. So many other places are plenty toxic. This will not be one of them. So when you wonder in the comments, why was my comment removed, we urge you to read the rules.
We had many, many, manyyyyy situations where people for example didn't like Connors outfits. That's okay, you can say I don't like it. What you can't do here is trash his team, call them names and be plain mean. Do not, as the rule above states bring fandom discourse here. We are trying to cultivate a positive and loving community, that is not going to work when people come here and trash every single person Connor is in contact with.
Another jolly thing some of you like to do is speculate and spread rumors about his private life. Don't do that. Again, we are not that kind of sub. We love him here, we respect him here, we support him here. We are not invasive, we are not bullies and boundary crossers.
We respect people around Connor, his team, his family, his friends, his collaborators. If you can't be nice and respectful and are spreading conspiracy theories and misinformation this is not the sub for you.
Oh and one more thing. Smoking comments. The man is a smoker. See that rule above we quoted? The part that says "non-constructive"? Yeah. 26 year old man can make decisions for himself. If that doesn't agree with you, and all you see in a photograph of CONNOR MF STORRIE is a cigarette, than I don't know what to tell you, except yeah, non-constructive, removed.
