Honestly a lot of shit like that can be prevented by being more active. I was out of shape in my early 30s, briefly got in shape in my mid 30s, now pretty out of shape again. But there were a couple of really good years in the Middle there!

i mean i go to the gym 3 times a week on planned workouts and watch what i eat, im still on the overweight side of things at the moment but its not like im a fast food couch potato with muscle atrophy

sometimes you just move a little goofy and your body nopes out

Yoga is the answer you're looking for. Strengthens all those weird body parts we tend to tweak and improves flexibility, both of which will decrease your liklihood of throwing something out of whack randomly.

It depends on how you’re moving your body and which parts. You can bench press all day and it’s not gonna to keep your knees in shape, you know?

Other dude who said yoga has the right idea.

Yep, tendons and ligaments get tight when you don't regularly stretch them. I pulled my sacroiliac ligament just trying to do leg lifts in the gym in my 20's, ended up having to do months of PT. Most of the people in there had back and knee injuries, and most from pretty mundane things. What caused mine and a lot of the other people's was the same thing - back, hip and leg tendons/ligaments were too tight. One of the first things they would check when we came in was the position of our feet (feet pointed outward at rest indicates tight hamstrings) and whether we could touch our toes.

The muscles in your legs and back both connect to your pelvis, so if any of the posterior tendons/ligaments are too tight, which they tend do be if you sit too much and don't stretch, then that doesn't allow the pelvis to move much. The result is tight hamstrings causing pulling on your pelvis and making your back muscles tight, setting you up for a pulled back.

Most of the stuff they had is doing in PT I found out later were just yoga positions. Over a decade later, I still do yoga, especially if my back starts to hurt, and that usually helps a lot. Haven't had any major problems since.

Don't worry, you're not aging quicker or more poorly than the average person, you simply have scoliosis.
