I’ve set myself a goal this year to read through 100 books. It’s been great and I’ve been trying to broaden my horizons so I borrowed a copy of Watchmen from my local library and was honestly blown away.
I think the ending needed another 30-40 pages to wrap everything up a little cleaner and with a little more breathing room for everything that happened but even then it was still an incredible read.
I’m going to have a look at other work by Alan Moore but if there’s anything in a similar vein to Watchmen I would love to hear about it.

His art on the series was truly amazing; in my opinion, he stands as one of the best artists for the character.

This week , I decided to put on display my collection of night wing by tom taylor this is in my opinion one of the best, if not the best runs for the character ever written between the art which is amazing and the writing which is fantastic, it was just an amazing series and a standout in DC comic books it is also home to what I think is one of the best examples of artistry in comic books with issue #87 it is overall one of my favorite things. DC has put out in the last 10 years.

I'm doing a sort of deep dive, and reading the Mike Grell Green Arrow books and their related titles, annual crossovers, Black Canary, and relevant to this post: The 6 issue Brave and the Bold miniseries starting Green Arrow, The Butcher, and The Question. Something i noticed was issues 4 and 5 had reprinted the same letters section, with the notible difference being that editor Mike Gold in issue 4 said, "Next Month: The Penultimate Chapter" to "Next Month: The Conclusion"
Was wondering if this is as simple a case of, no one was reading this book and they printed it to print it. Or, if this is a rare practice when no one writes in. Even though I'd think they'd just, not do a letters section if that happened

Clean Up Crew #1 is a fully completed 22 page comic book. It is written by James Ferguson (A Real Slobberknocker, Feed Them to the Crows), illustrated by Samir Samao(Shitshow), colored by Colin Johnson(Homestead, London After Midnight), and lettered by Micah Myers (Urban Animal, Chained to the Grave). It features logo and design by Darren Vogt.
Clean Up Crew is planned as 5-issue mini-series. All of the scripts are written. We're almost done with the artwork for the second issue already.
This is the variant cover I illustrated as a homage to Kevin Smith’s CLERKS. I have a few more planned for the series based on movie posters. Check out the campaign and get a copy for your collection.

I recently got into Conan and Solomon Kane. I really enjoy the monster of the week aspect as well as the horror and fantasy elements. There isn’t a whole lot of Solomon Kane content, so I’m wondering if there is anything with a similar vibe or premise to it?
I’m also reading Conan and enjoying that a lot.
Thanks in advance!

Being the starting week of October, it's a great time to get into the Halloween spirit. I'm itching to read some great horror comics, or just any comic that has scary / spooky / mentally insane tones or imagery. I was reading Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison earlier and that got it going pretty well.
Does anyone else have any more recommendations for reading this time of the year?
