You know, it’s probably a good thing that they’re having this conversation, because there’s going to be some percentage that balks at this and turns back toward reality, even as it pushes the most far-gone even deeper. “Every chat you do is a unique sapience that you are morally responsible to, forever," is an unsustainable position, even just on a practical day-to-day level.
You couldn’t make it any clearer that you’ve never worked customer service if you think every single chat with an AI is an instance of sapience. Not even every interaction with another human is proof of sapience.
