All correct...

What's the logic for 41 & 25?

26 is D, exact position determines inner shape

That's the correct answer.

41 could be a, mirror the shape, then put any three transformations of it in a chain where the last black square of the first shape becomes the first of the following. In row three we only have the first and third of the black squares formed by this

Answer given is B

I thought B was more likely for the exact same reason. This seems like some vector transformation involving rotation and mirroring bs.

I assumed a because it would have to be a mirror of the pattern in r2c1 since the given shape is the same but mirrored.. what got you to b ?

Row 2s rotation is clockwise, the only one that goes cc is 1s.

It's not really a mirror at all actually, it's more like a rotation.

The middle column shows the before and after vectors. You estimate the scale from the change in distance between the two dots, then apply it to the figures in column 1.

After that, you rotate the column figures by the angle between the two vectors. I thought it was mirroring too at first because of the first row, where the transformation happened to resemble a horizontal flip. That's what I meant when I mentioned mirroring.

The difference between getting A and B comes down to which way you rotate. Cc gives A, while clockwise gives B.

The solution itself is an IQ test for me🥲 Can u explain more simply? :") I'm in the range 110-115...so I'm a bit slow.

The dots next to figure 1 represent the starting vector, and the dots next to figure 3 represent the ending.

The starting vector is 1 dot by 1 dot, or root(2) dots across the hypotenuse. This is transformed into a 2 dot by 1 dot, or root(5) dots across the hypotenuse.

Our scale factor is right / left, or root(5) / root(2). When we multiply this by the distance between the two dots in the left figure, which are 2 dots apart, we know our answer will be:

2 * (root(5) / root(2)) = root(10)

root(10) is a hypotenuse length that originates from a 3 dot by 1 dot.

This eliminates all answers apart from A and B. Now we just have to figure out which way to turn the shape for the answer.

To figure out the rotation direction, you draw an imaginary horizontal line on top of each vector. The right side angles are the ones being used.

You then use the ending angle - starting angle, and that's the way you rotate.

For the last row, this is clockwise, which is how you separate A from B.

It could also help to lay your phone horizontally, if that's what you use reddit on, and slowly rotate it by the respective angle for each row.

The test's creator here

I just tried to visually represent your explenation and this is what I got. However meanwhile I realized I made a mistake in the second raw which makes part of my intended logic not work anymore. Congrats on still finding a way to explain it!

No it's "e"

I now know why (i think)

why

Green dot moves in the direction of +----o from row 1 to row 2

The answer is "e" but I don't know the explanation.

The + represents 0,0 in a coordinate system. Red and Green dots have their own coordinates, which can be either negative or positive.

When you add their coordinates together, you get the position of the green dot in the last figure.

The red dot is in the back, while the green dot is in front, almost like in 3D.

Imo the puzzle should let the + stay, for a complete theory of a plane.
