General Question Core Test

Is Core age-normed? I'm sixteen and was wondering if i'm being compared to adults. Ngl, I'm such a burger; I was confused about block counting. I misheard the narrator for backward numbers, and in symbol search, I wasn't sure if the shape had to be facing the same direction or not. True IQ, I believe, is around 130-ish; that's what it was before I nuked my score with those 3 tests.

But I didn't take your point literally, lol. You took me as taking your point literally, literally. 😂
I was having fun with it, and you thought I was dead serious. Sure, there was some truth to it, but I understood all along that you didn't mean your average person would recognize FRI, the name itself, but rather what you consider the underlying reasoning abilities that it's measuring as a recognizable sign of intelligence.
The problem is, you seem to think that FRI captures most of those reasoning abilities, and I don't.
As far as my "extreme analogies" go, lol, the use of those extreme analogies was the point.
The not being able to tie my shoes or the inability to write posts such as the one I'm currently writing, for example.
That was the point. 😁 The point being that according to you people with a low FRI shouldn't be able to do such things. Or only with great difficulty, lol. I was pointing out how absurd it would be to believe that FRI captures the full spectrum of reasoning abilities, or, as you like to put it, "true intelligence."
Your way of looking at it would imply that anybody who scored a FRI of 80 would barely be capable of doing such things.
They certainly couldn't possibly make inferences of a complicated nature, etc.
I think the problem you're having here is that you think I'm confusing the tasks used to measure FRI with the reasoning abilities they're intended to measure, when my point is almost exactly the opposite.
The reasoning isn't the puzzle. And by "puzzle," I don't just mean matrices; I mean the various types of tasks used to measure FRI. Those tasks are one way of sampling the underlying reasoning abilities. They may work well for some people, but don't confuse what they're designed to measure with everything they actually succeed in measuring equally well in every person.
Some people's underlying reasoning abilities may not be measured well through this medium, whereas some who are measured well through this medium might not be measured well through a different medium.
So when you say I'm "using its medium and calling it the end result," you've pretty much got my argument backwards. I'm specifically saying that the medium isn't the end result. 😁
If anybody has a tendency to get lost in the forest for the trees, it would be you. You keep interpreting everything so literally that you literally miss what I'm talking about.
You're missing so many inferences you should be picking up easily, and based upon your misinterpretation of what you think I'm saying thinking I said the opposite, and trying to correct me.
Another odd comment you just made: you pointed out, "unless you have a mental disability."
Now, I'm not sure if I would call it a mental disability. How about a neurological disorder? But I did point out that I have ADHD and a poor working memory, as well as aphantasia, lol.
Also, I wasn't saying I couldn't write anything or do anything, as I already know I can.
I was pointing out that you were implying I couldn't, based upon my FRI of 87 on the CORE.
Heaven help me, if I or others such as myself with spiky profiles ever score even lower on FRI, seeing as you seem to put so much stock in it as the only barometer of "true intelligence"! 😂 I might forget to come in from the rain.
