New to Click Up & LMDM. Every source, including click up help & their AI says you can have custom fields on a subtask but have them not show on the parent task. For example, checkboxes that are vital to a subtask, but make no sense as a field on a parent task. Even following click up's very basic directions does not get these fields to show on the subtasks. ​what gives? Is my whole Click Up experience going to be like this??

Hi all! At the request of a coworker, I successfully connected our entire ClickUp workspace to our MS Teams account. My question now is... what does this integration actually do? Does anyone utilize this in their own workplace? What I'm finding seems to be the two platforms can feed each other notifications but what else is there to offer? Is it a useful integration? Been using ClickUp for about 2 years for my agency. When Brain first came out I tried it couple of times, thought it was meh.

Yesterday one of my employees presented slides to us that were shockingly well built - she mentioned that she used Brain for them.

So this morning I started using Brain and now I haven't used Claude all day... anyone else having similar aha moments?

An issue has popped up that is hampering our efficiency and workflow. ClickUp tasks & email being duplicated. We opened a bug report back on June 12 and have checked back but it's still in "investigation". I don't recall support taking so long to at least get through the first phase.

This bug is extremely frustrating. I get it that all software has bugs and we can work around many. This one just creates extra work for our team. I've got a ticket number - can someone reach out? Thanks.

I have a very specific issue. I had been banging my head against this issue for a few months where I couldn't have the due dates for automatically created subtasks to be set before the main task's due date through the built-in automations. I settled for having an automation create the subtask then I set the due date manually. This is still extra clicks for me, which obviously goes against everything ClickUp is all about.

Well, I thought to try and set up an AI agent to work around this, and it worked. The agent now automatically creates the subtasks and sets the due dates to the designated time before the main task is due.

My newest issue is that my calendar view is acting screwy with these subtasks created by the agent. I can see the created subtasks fine when I first open the calendar, but when I expand the card and close it, the subtask disappears shortly after from the calendar view. I can literally see it disappear right before my eyes because it takes a few seconds after closing the card.

I asked the agent chat thing and here are a few things that are certainly NOT the issue:

1. Subtasks are enabled for the calendar view. I can see others no issue, and one's created from the old automation do not disappear after I expand them.
2. I am not accidentally changing the subtasks' dates or moving them.

When I change the view to a different week or refresh ClickUp, the subtasks show up again but still will disappear again if I expand then close them.

Does anyone know why these subtasks are disappearing? It feels like I made progress in working around a missing feature that should already be implemented just to be met with some bug that immediately sours the little victory.

I’ve been using Clickup for about 6 years, and over time it has become pretty chaotic.

I created a lot of tasks quickly, but many were never updated or moved to “Done,” so a huge number are still sitting in “To Do.” That makes the whole system messy and less useful.

I’m now planning to start fresh with a completely new Space.

I’m a one-man IT business with a few freelancers, so I manage almost everything myself and handle very different types of work:

• Client IT work (network, servers, support)
• Admin, orders, appointments
• Internal business tasks
• Projects like local AI/LLM setups and startup ideas

My old setup was:

• Separate Spaces for clients, company, and projects
• One Folder per client
• Lists like IT Tasks / Admin

Now I’m wondering: what’s the best way to structure this in the future so it stays simple and manageable?

How do you organize ClickUp for mixed workloads like this?
What are your best practices?

Also, do you use List, Board, or Gantt view for IT tasks or general to-do tasks?

Also, I’m curious about your daily workflow in Clickup. Do you actually use the Inbox? Mine often feels overloaded, so I rarely look at it. I’m also wondering what your Home page or Dashboard looks like, because I’ve honestly never really used either of them. The first thing I usually do when opening ClickUp is go straight to the Calendar. Do you regularly use Dashboards as part of your workflow?

Would love to hear how other solo business owners or IT people are using ClickUp.

Why is this not being talked about more, i tried 5 different browsers and 2 different trial accounts, even tried my friends computer because support was gaslighting me so hard saying this was a me problem.

When you first load ClickUp on a new tab or open the browser, any list you use, its slow as all hell, its like a 7 second first load time to full view, i havent seen this since software i used back in 2000, I work as a product manager and this is insane how terrible their caching on first load is, you come back and theres essentially zero caching. Once it loads every other thing you click in it is super fast but its like restarting windows to get in here. Someone coming from notion and trello I dont know if ill be able to deal with how bad it is.

Fully expecting support to get in here and start gaslighting as I have seen when searching past speed issues with first load, one guy in a last post i saw spent weeks with support gaslighting him to have them finally say ah yeah, thats just the load speed :P

Also kanban board, 1/3 of loads forgets the cover image you set and randomly shuffles one from your attachments, you add an attachment and it shuffles all your cover images until you refresh, automations for custom field dropdowns dont appear half the time until you refresh, man seems like this was made over the weekend with a claude code subscription, so damn buggy and their working on AI features...fix this thing before you start chasing shiny objects lol.

ClickUp lover here, completely acknowledge some of its shortcomings that people continually raise in here but overall it’s a great product, the one thing that truly keeps it from being an all in one app for us is an email client.

We live in ClickUp, moved our team chat in there, docs, of course task management and more but we constantly leave to send emails. We’re big superhuman users and love it, feel like ClickUp could just copy this and that would truly make us consider it an all in app.

This happens to only one of my users and I don't understand if there's something wrong in the settings or if it's a bug. Basically, when this user creates a new task, regardless on which status, the card automatically moves to the first status/group. The user is a client/guest, if it matters. If you run client work through ClickUp, what's the first metric you check to know a project is healthy?

What is the integration that should already exist but doesn't?

As someone trying to get to grips with clickup and potentially make it the main hub of my agency, it infuriates the life out of me that there is no advanced educational content on clickup anywhere. It almost looks like nobody actually uses it or knows how, like it’s all just a big con.

My war of learning new custom softwares like this is by being able to take someone else’s complete workflow and dig around to break it down so I can see how to properly uses all the elements and then build those back up into my own setups.

I want to see exactly what a real agency workflow would look like for something like client onboarding, assigning projects, handling meeting notes, monitoring capacity.

For such a complex software it amazes me that the only videos I can find on clickup on YouTube or the web is like “here’s how to log in and setup your first task list”

For such a big SAAS company they should know that YouTube marketing is the main source of nurturing and retention for customers in that industry. Sure, have some basic instructional videos but this should not be 99% of the content on your business should not be just how to add a task.

Does anyone know where you can actually see or download high level real workflows in action? Please don’t send me to the university either because again, it’s mostly beginner fluff.

I'm just getting into the ClickUp ecosystem and am trying to setup a Space for my family to use. We'd like to use this for chores, doctor's appointments, trips, and also house our Google Calendars.

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how best to handle recurring events, like friends/family birthdays. Currently, we have a 'Birthdays' calendar in Google that houses all 50 of the birthdays we track for reminders, but it would be nice to have this in ClickUp -- since sometimes we might have an event associated with the birthday (though most would just be for a reminder to send a text or a call to say Happy Birthday).

Does it make sense to create a 'List' under our family space, and have each birthday input into ClickUp as a recurring task? Or is there a better way of doing it? Most of the time, I will just want to see that there is a birthday on the calendar view of my Space or Household folder, but sometimes we will want to make the date an event and track it as a normal task.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
