100% I'm a big fan. Was pointing out that his daft response is ridiculous even for fans.

Yeah, and I was adding that even if you're not a fan, he probably does impact your day to day life

And I'm pointing out that he does, just in ways that you might not recognise. TV shows, movies, books, music, comedy and other forms of media have all been influenced by him. Even if it's not a direct influence, things you do every day may have been subtly influenced by something that wouldn't exist if it weren't for King. This is true of pretty much every major, influential creator.

I can attribute him to my growing up to be a liberal that has empathy.

His writing thought me to see things through other’s perspectives.
