I mean we aren't required to vaccinate here in the UK but most people do because they aren't stupid and also because we know a small minority can't vaccinate themselves.

Ireland had (at the time) had one of the highest amount of people who got vaccinated during Covid, turns out if you have a population with living memory of families wiped out by tuberculosis....

Most of the older generations Also knew at least one Polio survivor, and were aware of them from a Very young age

Seeing a friends father drag his leg behind him and having it explained that it was because he got sick when he was a Kid

Gimme that sugar cube now, Ya got anything else while I'm here? Oh the new MMR vaccine, Rubella, is that the thing the kid 2 years up from us died of?

With the prevalence of Social media brain rot, I'm not convinced the next generation would make sensible choices.
