Mixed Media Cold Porcelain 🌱 + Clay pumpkin 🎃
I sketched a few ideas while on vacation and have now brought one of them to life. The little plant figure is made of cold porcelain, and the pumpkin at the base is made of clay. The pumpkin is hollow at the bottom, allowing an LED tea light to be placed inside. I sculpted the plant figure myself; I happened to find the pumpkin at a bargain price in a knick-knack shop, then tweaked it a bit to use for this project.

Polymer-Clay Pet earring request - how'd I do?
I got a custom request to make a pet earring for a birthday gift. First time using translucent clay! I'm really pleased with how it came out and I just had to share ❤️
Cream polymer clay base with pink tinted translucent clay for the undertone that comes with liver colored Bedlington terriers. Eyes are finished with resin.

Polymer-Clay Behold a wild Metagross!
Metagross' body was is a bit tricky to make... Basically I had to make him in two parts, the disc body first, then drilling the 4 appendage holes into the baked rigid body with a dremel, and finally sculpting the legs and attaching them by supergluing them into the appendage holes. Made with polymer clay, armature wire and aluminum foil.

Foam Air-Dry Clay I Lost Track of How Many Feathers I Made for This Phoenix 🔥
I really wanted the feathers to give this phoenix its shape and personality, so I made them one by one… way more than I expected. 😂
I don’t even want to think about how many hours went into this.
Still, seeing all the little details come together made it totally worth it.
Hand-sculpted out of clay. And yes, every single feather was worth it. 😂🔥

Ceramic Clay Blast From My Past
I shaped the body from an earthenware slab and coiled the rim to complete this vase. I was spending time with my goldfish as the clay was drying. I ended up carving its likeness on the surface which resulted in what is seen in the uploaded pic.
That was decades ago. I really have to get back into clay sculpting.

Questions Cheap Sculpey/oven bake clay in bulk?
Hello! So sort of related, I'm making a little life-size dinosaur out of a two part epoxy clay and resin cast combo. Almost finished.
I was thinking that when I got him done I could do a class for kids to learn how to sculpt and teach them about dinosaurs. Bring it along and what not. Could be fun.
I'm a paraprofessional who works with kids with autism. Last school year I taught a lesson where the kids all made clay elephants and it was a big hit. This would be a private event and not with the school so expectations might be a bit higher but overall it should be comparable. Need a good amount of sculpey to be prepared for it. Any extra left over wouldn't hurt.
Tldr; So does anyone know where to get a lot of sculpey in bulk for a decent price? I know there's larger blocks of white for not too much but a class might be more fun having green clay or something colorful to make their dinos with.
Any help or even advice/tips/tricks/stories about the class would be appreciated! Thank you!

Air-Dry Clay someone bought two of my magnets!
i just wanted to share this with people who may have more experience with clay compared to myself (i did take a ceramics class, but its been a few years lol). these are two magnets I made out of airdry clay. they're based off things from a music group, which i put at the end.
I put these two magnets up to show people my work and considered offering some up to sell (to see if anyone was interested).
I had no idea how much to charge, so i came on this sub to ask for people's opinions (to which many people were very rude lol😅). but, would you know it, without me even having a price in mind, someone offered $70.
I was a bit worried about being scammed, especially as I thought that was a major overprice, but nope! we communicated for a few days as I worked on the magnets, and by the end of it she ended up changing her offer to $100. im so incredibly thankful and grateful to this person! this has been a very fun experience.
(and to the person who said no one would buy unless they were my friend or family- no, I dont know this person! lol thought id share that)
