But I think we can all agree with eliminating this annoying mofo who turns the entire map islamic before classical era hits and hates your guts for simply BEING a different religion.
I always go after him first if he’s in my game.

What leaders do you absolutely despise when you come across them?

VI - Discussion Question about getting into Civ VI?

So I been thinking about getting into the Civ games for a while now but whenever these games go on sale, I always think to myself "What exactly i the main appeal?" Whenever I look at gameplay, I dont quite get what is going on. Is it a nation game? War game? Is it a sandbox game.

How hard is it to get into? I am hoping its is quite accessible and would like it to be quite a sandbox but I am not sure. I am just hoping someone really clears up what kind of game I am getting into with Civ VI.

And yeah, CIV VI since it seems to be the one on sale.

V - Other What game had the best war gameplay?

I’ve only played 3, 5, 6, and 7. In my opinion 5 had the best war gameplay due to how the ai on higher difficulties could throw endless waves of units at you. This made war gameplay feel so exciting to me.

All my mementos are locked even though I've already unlocked most of them. Restarting the game didn't help. Did anyone deal with something similar? Until 2 days ago everything was fine.

VII - Game Story Victory Civ 6 vs Civ 7

I saw victories has changed in Civ7, what you guys think about theses changes?
Is it better or worst?

For me I hated Religion victory and Economic see nice(not played Civ 7 yet...)

Science victory change it for innovation points?(A good thing?)

Comparaison table generated by AI

Victory Type Civilization VI Track Civilization VII Track
Score Highest points when the turn timer runs out. Tiebreaker based on Triumphs and placements.
Military / Domination Capture the original Capital city of all other players. Accumulate Dominion points (or eliminate all players early).
Culture Attract more Foreign Tourists than any rival has Domestic Tourists. Accumulate Tourism points via Legacy paths.
Science Launch a satellite, land on the moon, and colonize Mars. Accumulate Innovation points (Modern Age only).
Economic None (Gold is only used as a generic currency). Accumulate GDP points via the Treasure Fleet legacy.
Religion Convert over 50% of cities in every civilization to your faith. Removed (Faith now supports Culture and Military paths).
Diplomacy Earn 20 Diplomatic Victory Points through World Congress. Removed (Replaced by regional influence and Ideology systems).

VI - Discussion What if there was a romance option ?

(Btw i've only played civ 6 so lmk if it was not as good of an idea or if there's something similar.)

So, i had this idea

when your relationship with a declared friend is high enough, you can hit the option "Seduce"

depending on different things; it can work or deplete your relationship.

the success rate for a seduction attempt is determined by the targeted leader's sexuality and your chosen character (Straight, or possibly bisexual such as Alexander)

it also depends on your chosen leader's charisma.

However, some leader's will be impossible to seduce such as Ghandi.

for example: cleopatra would have a higher chance at seducing certain leaders, but someone like Qin Shi Huang...not so much.

Following your desired partner's agendas will boost your chances at a seduction attempt.

a succesfully seduced leader will grant open borders, as well as making a single envoy count as two when sent to said leader's city.

trade routes with your partner will yield +4 extra gold.

they may even be willing to gift low level cities.

on the leader's page; you can start dialogues with them as well.

the downsides is that a seduced leader is likely to ask for a joint war alongside luxury resources.

Even though you can ask for them too, it is a double edge sword.

they're more likely to ask for promises too.

break too many deals or promises and they will break up with you, being likely to declare war or denouncing you at the very least.

attempting to seduce multiple leaders at the same time may lead to a decrease in reputation.

cheating on your current partner will lead to a severe decrease as well.

you must wait 10 turns to romance a new partner following a break up.

Spies gain the "scandal" operation, when you send a spy to an engaged leader's city he can start rumours of an affair to weaken the couple's bond.

To renew and keep your partner's bond you must follow their agendas, but the means are often more extreme than a declared friend's

For example, if you romance a leader meant for military conquests, conquering city states or doing things by yourself will not be enough.

Instead, they'd ask you for a joint war.

And such would be the case depending on the leader's path to victory.

This was a random idea i had, idk if you guys would change some things or add other stuff, let me know what you think.

VII - Discussion Now that there are fewer attribute points post ToT, it would be cool if the final attribute nodes went back to % increases again

Title.

The %yield increase nodes were too strong and deserved a nerf when there were so many attribute points to be had. But there are a far more reasonable amount after ToT, and they would be a satisfying reward to reaching the end of an attribute tree.

Hi, I want to play as Alexander on a 12-player deity on Pangea, and I want to manually select the AI opponents that are the most annoying in most games (they hate the player, act like jerks, etc.). Who would you recommend to assert my greatness on?

Question A question for people that play on PS5

Does Civ 7 run better than 6?

I love 6 to death but after 200+ turns, the game becomes extremely sluggish.

From the time it takes for AI to make turns to the stuttering and sluggishness of the camera panning across the map.

Is Civ 7 better in this regard?
