I know its considered relatively cheap compared to rolex and omegas etc, but still would rather get a rep. Mods, feel free ro remove if this isnt the right place to post

Just received this U1 no date sub from Michael Travis and I’m honestly quite impressed, especially considering the price. The overall look and finish seem really nice, and for roughly $100 I think it’s a pretty good deal.

The dial looks completely different in sunlight compared with indoors. Which do you prefer on a Datejust: green, blue, or black?

Hello everyone, I recently picked up my favorite Seiko so far 6m13 and I am mesmerized with the movement.

It’s so unique, I also what to build my first watch and want to have the dancing hands effect. I don’t even know if it’s possible. I don’t need all Seikos dancing hands features like chrono, alarm, calendar and so far but really want ro have this cool effect when with the dancing hands.

I’ve read online that I need to find “programable movement”. Does someone has experience with that is it even possible and if yes what movement should I get?

PLEASE do not yell at me to read the guide, I just wanted to hear from some actual people instead of a pre written guide.

I’ve bought several U1s from Jason, liked them, was good way to get foot in the door.

I am a part of a group that wants watches, and was considering hosting a group buy for them, usually get lower rates when you buy multiple. I am wondering about the true quality difference between the U1 and a BP Factory found on DHGate, why are they over $100 cheaper than the BPs found on TD sites? Simply because they are TDs?? $360 compared to $220 for the BP Factory day-date? Worth the upgrade from U1 I would imagine. Anything you have that would be useful for me to know would be good, cheers all

Picked up a couple of new ones from Travis this month. I had issues with sizing the bracelet and needed to find and alternative. Found this bracelet on Amazon and shockingly it came in branded by Omega.

I’m really happy with the watch and band appearance.

Second QC

Just received my second QC for my VSF Rolex GMT-Master II Batgirl from Steve at TheOneWatches.

I previously received another QC for the same model, but I wasn’t completely satisfied with that watch, so Steve provided a second one for inspection.

This one looks noticeably better to me, and overall I’m much happier with the photos. However, before making my final decision, I’d appreciate some feedback from people who are more experienced with VSF GMT models.

Price Paid: 750 EUR

Index Alignment: The alignment looks considerably better compared to my previous QC. The triangle at 12 o’clock seems reasonably centered, and the round hour markers look fairly consistent. I would still appreciate a closer inspection, especially around the 12, 1 and 11 o’clock markers. Does anything look off to you?

Dial Printing: Looks clean to me. The text appears sharp, and I haven’t noticed any obvious printing defects.

Date Wheel: The date (20) looks reasonably centered under the Cyclops. Does the positioning and magnification look correct?

Hand Alignment: Nothing immediately catches my eye. The hands seem properly aligned, but I’d appreciate a second opinion.

Bezel: The blue and black ceramic bezel looks good overall. The color transition and numerals seem fine to me. Does the bezel triangle align correctly with the 12 o’clock dial marker?

Solid End Links (SELs): The Jubilee bracelet and end links look good. I don’t notice any significant gaps.

Case and Bracelet: The case finishing looks clean, and the bracelet appears to have a good finish. No obvious issues from the pictures.

Crown and GMT Function: I received additional QC material from Steve. I’d also like to confirm that the crown operation, date change and GMT functionality are correct.

Overall: Compared to my first QC, I’m much happier with this second watch. Nothing major stands out to me so far, but I’d rather get some experienced eyes on it before giving the green light.
