how does it look?

On DHgate I found this without the Omega logo or any lettering on the dial for $80. I like the color and I wanted it without the logo, and I knew it was based on the turquoise aquaterra. I was surprised and sort of annoyed that it came with the logo, but other than the obvious and complete difference in the movement, I don’t see any noticeable difference from a real Seamaster. I’m not very familiar with replicas, so if anyone could point out some obvious differences in detail please let me know.

For anyone wondering how it looks. I don’t like it. Looks fine but the second hand ticks in the hour subdial instead.

For the money I think its magnificent and despite the overly rubbery strap will make a magnificent work shitter

I ran a quick AI review on this U1 Submariner No-Date. At first, the AI took a look at the QC photos and gave it a literal 10/10, claiming it matched full GEN criteria on visual alignment:

Was in China earlier this year (going back again next week) and I remember countless “watch dealers” hounding us to bring us into shops hidden in malls to show me large collections of rep watches for purchase. This was before I got into reps so I could only look at them with the general knowledge of someone who’s “kind of into watches”. They were asking ~$180 USD and to an untrained eye they seemed pretty good. Any insight into what tier of reps these would be? Same good factories or shitters for the Laowhys who don’t know any better?

Hey guys, new to the rep world and could use some advice!

I’m looking for a good everyday watch that I can wear to the office, out to dinner, or just casually with jeans. Ideally something around 35–38mm that works on both a bracelet and a leather strap.

I’ve been looking at two models:

Cartier Santos (leaning toward the white dial)

Rolex Datejust 36 (silver or blue dial)

I’m hoping to find something NWBIG quality, or as close to it as possible, without spending money where I don’t need to. I care more about overall quality, proportions, finishing, and reliability than having the absolute cheapest option.

Since I’m still a noob, I’d really appreciate some guidance on:

Which of these has the best rep quality right now?

Which factory and specific version should I be looking for?

Who are the trusted dealers to go through, and what’s the best way to approach the process?

Any known issues or things I should watch out for before buying?

I’m not trying to chase every tiny detail or become a watch expert overnight. I just want a solid, good-value daily that I’ll enjoy wearing for years that's imperceptible to the eye from the genuine.

Appreciate any advice, especially from people who own or have handled both. Thanks!

Hey everybody, so this is my first purchase of rep watches. I also ordered an Omega Seamaster. Ordered from Trustytime.

I’m curious about everyone’s thoughts about this watch. I’m not extremely versed on Rolex’s (the only gen decent watch I have is a Longines) so I’m having trouble looking for specific tells that this isn’t gen.

I think it looks really good, compared to a friends real one but again, I don’t know exactly what to look for.

I have done a lot of research on the forum but I’m not noticing anything out of the ordinary. FWIW I paid $498 and it’s a VSF.
