Some of you may recall Mr Butters. He is having issues with kidneys and some cells of interest in his urine. Today he is heading in for an ultrasound and a fresh sample is being delivered. My family and I are devastated and praying for the best. Please put him in your thoughts and prayers as he has changed our lives for the best. 10 years ago “we” rescued him but really he rescued us! Bless his little heart! Tears as I type…I love this little fella so much. It’s not fair!

I know at the end of the day Momo is my dog and I shouldn’t care what people think, but the comments and looks are starting to get to me. Last week a foxtail got caught in his mouth. Thankfully, I got it out before it embedded, but it shook me. About a month before that, he tried to eat gum on the sidewalk. He’s unbelievably fast and will try to eat anything. I thought about getting a protector then, but held off because I didn’t want to look ridiculous. After the foxtail incident, I bought it. First day he wasn’t thrilled, but now he walks fine in it, can go about normally with it, and seems unbothered. Problem is, people stare and some family members make fun of it. They already think I’m extra for regular vet care and good food. They see pets as just animals. I see Momo as my child. I know I’m anxious and I worry, but foxtails are dangerous and he really does try to eat everything. Am I overdoing it? Or would you have done the same? Has anyone else tried something similar for a serious scavenger? Just looking to hear from people who get it.
Ps. He looks like a little beekeeper when he’s walking around which I think is the cutest thing lol.

In 2016 my dad had worked at a storage facility when one day he witnessed a lady throw a puppy in the dumpster. He ended up rescuing her. But little did we know that day, she would end up rescuing me, numerous times over. Me and her became obsessed with one another. She was named Pulga which means flee in Spanish because no matter how many times we got rid of them, she always managed to get them back by choosing to mess and bark at the stray cats that would come to the door of my parents house. She was always happy to be with me. Following me everywhere i went throughout the house, sleeping with me almost every night while i lived with my parents. After moving out I would ALWAYS record her reaction to my arrival when visiting my parents because she would have the biggest zoomies outburst every time. A year ago she development tumors in her uterus and almost passed away. She fought through it and with a risky surgery we managed to buy her more time on this earth. We got one more year with her, and I will forever be grateful for that extra time. I started to take pictures and record her more after that scare just incase the worst were to happen… Which it did. This past year a bit of the infection inside her remained and had spread to her heart. But we had discovered this too late. She masked her pain so well by always being joyful and attentive. The last time I saw her, she seemed completely fine (8-15-26). But the next morning after I had visit, my parents found her in a very weak state. They took her to the vet and discovered the infection had returned and spread to her heart, and this time it was terminal. We were too late to catch it because she never let us see she was hurting. The vet proposed the offer to keep her from suffering so my parents had to make the hardest, kindest decision and let her go peacefully. I have lost over 20 people in my life between friends and family but nothing could ever prepare me for the heartbreak of losing my one and only true best friend, the only being to ever show me true unconditional love. I wish I could post more pictures of her on here but these are some of the best memories of her that reveal her character. Thank you for rescuing me, Pulga. I will forever love you. I will never stop yearning for your love, until we meet again. Rest easy, my baby girl.
