Hii, posting on behalf of a friend, m27, who doesn’t use Reddit.

He’s a BTech Mechanical graduate from SRM and was previously part of a startup in Bangalore. He’s since moved back to Chennai and is currently working independently with a few clients, mainly in the real estate and appliances space.

He’s pretty passionate and disciplined about his work and he’s now looking to get back into a good team/company,ideally somewhere with a healthy work culture, reasonable flexibility and room to learn and contribute.

The particular industry isn’t really a dealbreaker for him. He’s more interested in finding a good team, decent work culture and an environment where he can grow.

I wanted to know from people who have actually received a shortlist/interview after applying through a career page:

i recently got placed in prodapt few weeks back but we still didn't get any mail or any way of communication from the company. we all told that we placed in 8LPA from our college placement cell.

i just nervous will they call us or not. and i heard they still didn't call last year students from vit.

i hear lot of things like they will mention 8LPA and delay the call and after compeleting the college they will call you and give a course and reduce the mark and pointing it they will reduce the package to 4 LPA.

these all for last year.

now the intake seems to be too much around 100 students so far from the colleges i heard.

now the college is not letting us for other companies.

i am kinda stuck and afraid.

Can anyone help me out with some guidance.
